2Ch 1:1 And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.

2 Chr 1:1 Now Solomon the son of David established himself securely over his kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him and exalted him greatly.

2Ch 1:2 Then Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the fathers.

2Ch 1:3 So Solomon, and all the congregation with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tabernacle of the congregation of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness.

2Ch 1:4 But the ark of God had David brought up from Kirjathjearim to the place which David had prepared for it: for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

2Ch 1:5 Moreover the brasen altar, that Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, he put before the tabernacle of the LORD: and Solomon and the congregation sought unto it.

2 Chr 1:5 Now the bronze altar, which Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, was there before the tabernacle of the Lord, and Solomon and the assembly sought it out.

2Ch 1:6 And Solomon went up thither to the brasen altar before the LORD, which was at the tabernacle of the congregation, and offered a thousand burnt offerings upon it.

Ch2 1:6 καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν ἐκεῖ Σαλωμων ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ χαλκοῦν ἐνώπιον κυρίου τὸ ἐν τῇ σκηνῇ καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸ ὁλοκαύτωσιν χιλίαν

2Ch 1:7 In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.

2Ch 1:8 And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast shewed great mercy unto David my father, and hast made me to reign in his stead.
|
2 Chr 1:8 Solomon said to God, "You have dealt with my father David with great lovingkindness, and have made me king in his place.
|

2Ch 1:9 Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
|
2 Chr 1:9 Now, O Lord God, Your promise to my father David is fulfilled, for You have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth.

Ch2 1:9 καὶ νῦν κύριε ὁ θεός πιστωθήτω τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐπὶ Δαυιδ πατέρα μου ὅτι σὺ ἐβασίλευσάς με ἐπὶ λαὸν πολὺν ὡς ὁ χοῦς τῆς γῆς

2Ch 1:10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people: for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?

Ch2 1:10 νῦν σοφίαν καὶ σύνεσιν δός μοι καὶ ἐξελεύσομαι ἐνώπιον τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου καὶ εἰσελεύσομαι ὅτι τίς κρινεῖ τὸν λαόν σου τὸν μέγαν τοῦτον

2Ch 1:11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
|
2 Chr 1:11 God said to Solomon, "Because you had this in mind, and did not ask for riches, wealth or honor, or the life of those who hate you, nor have you even asked for long life, but you have asked for yourself wisdom and knowledge that you may rule My people over whom I have made you king,

Ch2 1:11 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ θεὸς πρὸς Σαλωμων ἀνθ᾽ ὧν ἐγένετο τοῦτο ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ σου καὶ οὐκ ᾐτήσω πλοῦτον χρημάτων οὐδὲ δόξαν οὐδὲ τὴν ψυχὴν τῶν ὑπεναντίων καὶ ἡμέρας πολλὰς οὐκ ᾐτήσω καὶ ᾔτησας σεαυτῷ σοφίαν καὶ σύνεσιν ὅπως κρίνῃς τὸν λαόν μου ἐφ᾽ ὃν ἐβασίλευσά σε ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν

2Ch 1:12 Wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honour, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee, neither shall there any after thee have the like.

2 Chr 1:12 wisdom and knowledge have been granted to you. And I will give you riches and wealth and honor, such as none of the kings who were before you has possessed nor those who will come after you."

Ch2 1:12 τὴν σοφίαν καὶ τὴν σύνεσιν δίδωμί σοι καὶ πλοῦτον καὶ χρήματα καὶ δόξαν δώσω σοι ὡς οὐκ ἐγενήθη ὅμοιός σοι ἐν τοῖς βασιλεῦσι τοῖς ἔμπροσθέ σου καὶ μετὰ σὲ οὐκ ἔσται οὕτως

2Ch 1:13 Then Solomon came from his journey to the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the tabernacle of the congregation, and reigned over Israel.

2Ch 1:14 And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, which he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.

2 Chr 1:14 Solomon amassed chariots and horsemen. He had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horsemen, and he stationed them in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem.

Ch2 1:14 καὶ συνήγαγεν Σαλωμων ἅρματα καὶ ἱππεῖς καὶ ἐγένοντο αὐτῷ χίλια καὶ τετρακόσια ἅρματα καὶ δώδεκα χιλιάδες ἱππέων καὶ κατέλιπεν αὐτὰ ἐν πόλεσιν τῶν ἁρμάτων καὶ ὁ λαὸς μετὰ τοῦ βασιλέως ἐν Ιερουσαλημ

2Ch 1:15 And the king made silver and gold at Jerusalem as plenteous as stones, and cedar trees made he as the sycomore trees that are in the vale for abundance.
|
2 Chr 1:15 The king made silver and gold as plentiful in Jerusalem as stones, and he made cedars as plentiful as sycamores in the lowland.

Ch2 1:15 καὶ ἔθηκεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τὸ χρυσίον καὶ τὸ ἀργύριον ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ὡς λίθους καὶ τὰς κέδρους ἐν τῇ Ιουδαίᾳ ὡς συκαμίνους τὰς ἐν τῇ πεδινῇ εἰς πλῆθος
|
2Ch 1:16 And Solomon had horses brought out of Egypt, and linen yarn: the king's merchants received the linen yarn at a price.
|
2 Chr 1:16 Solomon's horses were imported from Egypt and from Kue; the king's traders procured them from Kue for a price.
|
Ch2 1:16 καὶ ἡ ἔξοδος τῶν ἵππων τῶν Σαλωμων ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἡ τιμὴ τῶν ἐμπόρων τοῦ βασιλέως ἐμπορεύεσθαι ἠγόραζον
|
2Ch 1:17 And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and an horse for an hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means.
|
2 Chr 1:17 They imported chariots from Egypt for 600 shekels of silver apiece and horses for 150 apiece, and by the same means they exported them to all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Aram.

Ch2:1:17:καὶ ἀνέβαινον καὶ ἐξῆγον ἐξ Αἰγύπτου ἅρμα ἓν ἑξακοσίων ἀργυρίου καὶ ἵππον ἑκατὸν καὶ πεντήκοντα καὶ οὕτως πᾶσιν τοῖς βασιλεῦσιν τῶν Χετταίων καὶ βασιλεῦσιν Συρίας ἐν χερσὶν αὐτῶν ἔφερον Ch2 1:18 καὶ εἶπεν Σαλωμων τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου καὶ οἶκον τῇ βασιλείᾳ αὐτοῦ

2Ch 2:1 And Solomon determined to build an house for the name of the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.
|
2 Chr 2:1 Now Solomon decided to build a house for the name of the Lord and a royal palace for himself.
|
Ch2 2:1 καὶ συνήγαγεν Σαλωμων ἑβδομήκοντα χιλιάδας ἀνδρῶν καὶ ὀγδοήκοντα χιλιάδας λατόμων ἐν τῷ ὄρει καὶ οἱ ἐπιστάται ἐπ᾽ αὐτῶν τρισχίλιοι ἑξακόσιοι
|
2Ch 2:2 And Solomon told out threescore and ten thousand men to bear burdens, and fourscore thousand to hew in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred to oversee them.
|
2 Chr 2:2 So Solomon assigned 70,000 men to carry loads and 80,000 men to quarry stone in the mountains and 3,600 to supervise them.

Ch2 2:2 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν Σαλωμων πρὸς Χιραμ βασιλέα Τύρου λέγων ὡς ἐποίησας μετὰ τοῦ πατρός μου Δαυιδ καὶ ἀπέστειλας αὐτῷ κέδρους τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι ἑαυτῷ οἶκον κατοικῆσαι ἐν αὐτῷ

2Ch 2:3 And Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David my father, and didst send him cedars to build him an house to dwell therein, even so deal with me.

2 Chr 2:3 Then Solomon sent word to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, "As you dealt with David my father and sent him cedars to build him a house to dwell in, so do for me.

Ch2 2:3 καὶ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ὁ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ οἰκοδομῶ οἶκον τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου θεοῦ μου ἁγιάσαι αὐτὸν αὐτῷ τοῦ θυμιᾶν ἀπέναντι αὐτοῦ θυμίαμα καὶ πρόθεσιν διὰ παντὸς καὶ τοῦ ἀναφέρειν ὁλοκαυτώματα διὰ παντὸς τὸ πρωὶ καὶ τὸ δείλης καὶ ἐν τοῖς σαββάτοις καὶ ἐν ταῖς νουμηνίαις καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἑορταῖς τοῦ κυρίου θεοῦ ἡμῶν εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τοῦτο ἐπὶ τὸν Ισραηλ
|
2Ch 2:4 Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.

2 Chr 2:4 Behold, I am about to build a house for the name of the Lord my God, dedicating it to Him, to burn fragrant incense before Him and to set out the showbread continually, and to offer burnt offerings morning and evening, on sabbaths and on new moons and on the appointed feasts of the Lord our God, this being required forever in Israel.

Ch2 2:4 καὶ ὁ οἶκος ὃν ἐγὼ οἰκοδομῶ μέγας ὅτι μέγας ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν παρὰ πάντας τοὺς θεούς
|
2Ch 2:5 And the house which I build is great: for great is our God above all gods.
|
2 Chr 2:5 The house which I am about to build will be great, for greater is our God than all the gods.
|
Ch2 2:5 καὶ τίς ἰσχύσει οἰκοδομῆσαι αὐτῷ οἶκον ὅτι ὁ οὐρανὸς καὶ ὁ οὐρανὸς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ οὐ φέρουσιν αὐτοῦ τὴν δόξαν καὶ τίς ἐγὼ οἰκοδομῶν αὐτῷ οἶκον ὅτι ἀλλ᾽ ἢ τοῦ θυμιᾶν κατέναντι αὐτοῦ

2Ch 2:6 But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?
|
2 Chr 2:6 But who is able to build a house for Him, for the heavens and the highest heavens cannot contain Him? So who am I, that I should build a house for Him, except to burn incense before Him?
|
Ch2 2:6 καὶ νῦν ἀπόστειλόν μοι ἄνδρα σοφὸν καὶ εἰδότα τοῦ ποιῆσαι ἐν τῷ χρυσίῳ καὶ ἐν τῷ ἀργυρίῳ καὶ ἐν τῷ χαλκῷ καὶ ἐν τῷ σιδήρῳ καὶ ἐν τῇ πορφύρᾳ καὶ ἐν τῷ κοκκίνῳ καὶ ἐν τῇ ὑακίνθῳ καὶ ἐπιστάμενον γλύψαι γλυφὴν μετὰ τῶν σοφῶν τῶν μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐν Ιουδα καὶ ἐν Ιερουσαλημ ὧν ἡτοίμασεν Δαυιδ ὁ πατήρ μου

2Ch 2:7 Send me now therefore a man cunning to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, and in iron, and in purple, and crimson, and blue, and that can skill to grave with the cunning men that are with me in Judah and in Jerusalem, whom David my father did provide.
|
2 Chr 2:7 Now send me a skilled man to work in gold, silver, brass and iron, and in purple, crimson and violet fabrics, and who knows how to make engravings, to work with the skilled men whom I have in Judah and Jerusalem, whom David my father provided.
|
Ch2 2:7 καὶ ἀπόστειλόν μοι ξύλα κέδρινα καὶ ἀρκεύθινα καὶ πεύκινα ἐκ τοῦ Λιβάνου ὅτι ἐγὼ οἶδα ὡς οἱ δοῦλοί σου οἴδασιν κόπτειν ξύλα ἐκ τοῦ Λιβάνου καὶ ἰδοὺ οἱ παῖδές σου μετὰ τῶν παίδων μου
|
2Ch 2:8 Send me also cedar trees, fir trees, and algum trees, out of Lebanon: for I know that thy servants can skill to cut timber in Lebanon; and, behold, my servants shall be with thy servants,
|
2 Chr 2:8 Send me also cedar, cypress and algum timber from Lebanon, for I know that your servants know how to cut timber of Lebanon; and indeed my servants will work with your servants,
|
Ch2 2:8 πορεύσονται ἑτοιμάσαι μοι ξύλα εἰς πλῆθος ὅτι ὁ οἶκος ὃν ἐγὼ οἰκοδομῶ μέγας καὶ ἔνδοξος
|
2Ch 2:9 Even to prepare me timber in abundance: for the house which I am about to build shall be wonderful great.
|
2 Chr 2:9 to prepare timber in abundance for me, for the house which I am about to build will be great and wonderful.
|
Ch2 2:9 καὶ ἰδοὺ τοῖς ἐργαζομένοις τοῖς κόπτουσιν ξύλα εἰς βρώματα δέδωκα σῖτον εἰς δόματα τοῖς παισίν σου κόρων εἴκοσι χιλιάδας καὶ κριθῶν κόρων εἴκοσι χιλιάδας καὶ οἴνου μέτρων εἴκοσι χιλιάδας καὶ ἐλαίου μέτρων εἴκοσι χιλιάδας

2Ch 2:10 And, behold, I will give to thy servants, the hewers that cut timber, twenty thousand measures of beaten wheat, and twenty thousand measures of barley, and twenty thousand baths of wine, and twenty thousand baths of oil.
|
2 Chr 2:10 Now behold, I will give to your servants, the woodsmen who cut the timber, 20,000 kors of crushed wheat and 20,000 kors of barley, and 20,000 baths of wine and 20,000 baths of oil."

Ch2 2:10 καὶ εἶπεν Χιραμ βασιλεὺς Τύρου ἐν γραφῇ καὶ ἀπέστειλεν πρὸς Σαλωμων ἐν τῷ ἀγαπῆσαι κύριον τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ ἔδωκέν σε ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς εἰς βασιλέα

2Ch 2:11 Then Huram the king of Tyre answered in writing, which he sent to Solomon, Because the LORD hath loved his people, he hath made thee king over them.
|
2 Chr 2:11 Then Huram, king of Tyre, answered in a letter sent to Solomon: "Because the Lord loves His people, He has made you king over them."
|
Ch2 2:11 καὶ εἶπεν Χιραμ εὐλογητὸς κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ὃς ἐποίησεν τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν ὃς ἔδωκεν τῷ Δαυιδ τῷ βασιλεῖ υἱὸν σοφὸν καὶ ἐπιστάμενον σύνεσιν καὶ ἐπιστήμην ὃς οἰκοδομήσει οἶκον τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ οἶκον τῇ βασιλείᾳ αὐτοῦ

2Ch 2:12 Huram said moreover, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who hath given to David the king a wise son, endued with prudence and understanding, that might build an house for the LORD, and an house for his kingdom.
|
2 Chr 2:12 Then Huram continued, "Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who has made heaven and earth, who has given King David a wise son, endowed with discretion and understanding, who will build a house for the Lord and a royal palace for himself.
|
Ch2 2:12 καὶ νῦν ἀπέσταλκά σοι ἄνδρα σοφὸν καὶ εἰδότα σύνεσιν τὸν Χιραμ τὸν πατέρα μου
|
2Ch 2:13 And now I have sent a cunning man, endued with understanding, of Huram my father's,
|
2 Chr 2:13 "Now I am sending Huram-abi, a skilled man, endowed with understanding,
|
Ch2 2:13 ἡ μήτηρ αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ θυγατέρων Δαν καὶ ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ ἀνὴρ Τύριος εἰδότα ποιῆσαι ἐν χρυσίῳ καὶ ἐν ἀργυρίῳ καὶ ἐν χαλκῷ καὶ ἐν σιδήρῳ ἐν λίθοις καὶ ξύλοις καὶ ὑφαίνειν ἐν τῇ πορφύρᾳ καὶ ἐν τῇ ὑακίνθῳ καὶ ἐν τῇ βύσσῳ καὶ ἐν τῷ κοκκίνῳ καὶ γλύψαι γλυφὰς καὶ διανοεῖσθαι πᾶσαν διανόησιν ὅσα ἂν δῷς αὐτῷ μετὰ τῶν σοφῶν σου καὶ σοφῶν Δαυιδ κυρίου μου πατρός σου
|
2Ch 2:14 The son of a woman of the daughters of Dan, and his father was a man of Tyre, skilful to work in gold, and in silver, in brass, in iron, in stone, and in timber, in purple, in blue, and in fine linen, and in crimson; also to grave any manner of graving, and to find out every device which shall be put to him, with thy cunning men, and with the cunning men of my lord David thy father.

2 Chr 2:14 the son of a Danite woman and a Tyrian father, who knows how to work in gold, silver, bronze, iron, stone and wood, and in purple, violet, linen and crimson fabrics, and who knows how to make all kinds of engravings and to execute any design which may be assigned to him, to work with your skilled men and with those of my lord David your father.

Ch2 2:14 καὶ νῦν τὸν σῖτον καὶ τὴν κριθὴν καὶ τὸ ἔλαιον καὶ τὸν οἶνον ἃ εἶπεν ὁ κύριός μου ἀποστειλάτω τοῖς παισὶν αὐτοῦ
|
2Ch 2:15 Now therefore the wheat, and the barley, the oil, and the wine, which my lord hath spoken of, let him send unto his servants:
|
2 Chr 2:15 Now then, let my lord send to his servants wheat and barley, oil and wine, of which he has spoken.
|
Ch2 2:15 καὶ ἡμεῖς κόψομεν ξύλα ἐκ τοῦ Λιβάνου κατὰ πᾶσαν τὴν χρείαν σου καὶ ἄξομεν αὐτὰ σχεδίαις ἐπὶ θάλασσαν Ιόππης καὶ σὺ ἄξεις αὐτὰ εἰς Ιερουσαλημ

2Ch 2:16 And we will cut wood out of Lebanon, as much as thou shalt need: and we will bring it to thee in floats by sea to Joppa; and thou shalt carry it up to Jerusalem.
|

Ch2 4:21 καὶ λαβίδες αὐτῶν καὶ οἱ λύχνοι αὐτῶν καὶ τὰς φιάλας καὶ τὰς θυΐσκας καὶ τὰ πυρεῖα χρυσίου καθαροῦ

2Ch 4:22 And the snuffers, and the basons, and the spoons, and the censers, of pure gold: and the entry of the house, the inner doors thereof for the most holy place, and the doors of the house of the temple, were of gold.
