Psa 38:1 O lord, rebuke me not in thy wrath: neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure. Psa 38:1 O Lord, rebuke me not in Your wrath, And chasten me not in Your burning anger. Psa 38:1 ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυιδ εἰς ἀνάμνησιν περὶ σαββάτου
Psa 38:2 For thine arrows stick fast in me, and thy hand presseth me sore. Psa 38:2 For Your arrows have sunk deep into me, And Your hand has pressed down on me. Psa 38:2 κύριε μὴ τῷ θυμῷ σου ἐλέγξῃς με μηδὲ τῇ ὀργῇ σου παιδεύσῃς με
Psa 38:3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of thine anger; neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin. Psa 38:3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of Your indignation; There is no health in my bones because of my sin. Psa 38:3 ὅτι τὰ βέλη σου ἐνεπάγησάν μοι καὶ ἐπεστήρισας ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ τὴν χεῖρά σου
Psa 38:4 For mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy burden they are too heavy for me. Psa 38:4 For my iniquities are gone over my head; As a heavy burden they weigh too much for me. Psa 38:4 οὐκ ἔστιν ἴασις ἐν τῇ σαρκί μου ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς ὀργῆς σου οὐκ ἔστιν εἰρήνη τοῖς ὀστέοις μου ἀπὸ προσώπου τῶν ἁμαρτιῶν μου
Psa 38:5 My wounds stink and are corrupt because of my foolishness. Psa 38:5 My wounds grow foul and fester Because of my folly. Psa 38:5 ὅτι αἱ ἀνομίαι μου ὑπερῆραν τὴν κεφαλήν μου ὡσεὶ φορτίον βαρὺ ἐβαρύνθησαν ἐπ᾽ ἐμέ

Psa 38:7 For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease: and there is no soundness in my flesh. Psa 38:7 For my loins are filled with burning, And there is no soundness in my flesh. Psa 38:7 ἐταλαιπώρησα καὶ κατεκάμφθην ἕως τέλους ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν σκυθρωπάζων ἐπορευόμην
Psa 38:8 I am feeble and sore broken: I have roared by reason of the disquietness of my heart. Psa 38:8 I am benumbed and badly crushed; I groan because of the agitation of my heart. Psa 38:8 ὅτι αἱ ψύαι μου ἐπλήσθησαν ἐμπαιγμῶν καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ἴασις ἐν τῇ σαρκί μου
Psa 38:9 Lord, all my desire is before thee; and my groaning is not hid from thee. Psa 38:9 Lord, all my desire is before You; And my sighing is not hidden from You. Psa 38:9 ἐκακώθην καὶ ἐταπεινώθην ἕως σφόδρα ὠρυόμην ἀπὸ στεναγμοῦ τῆς καρδίας μου
Psa 38:10 My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for the light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me. Psa 38:10 My heart throbs, my strength fails me; And the light of my eyes, even that has gone from me. Psa 38:10 κύριε ἐναντίον σου πᾶσα ἡ ἐπιθυμία μου καὶ ὁ στεναγμός μου ἀπὸ σοῦ οὐκ ἐκρύβη
Psa 38:11 My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my sore; and my kinsmen stand afar off. Psa 38:11 My loved ones and my friends stand aloof from my plague; And my kinsmen stand afar off. Psa 38:11 ἡ καρδία μου ἐταράχθη ἐγκατέλιπέν με ἡ ἰσχύς μου καὶ τὸ φῶς τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν μου καὶ αὐτὸ οὐκ ἔστιν μετ᾽ ἐμοῦ
Psa 38:12 They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long. Psa 38:12 Those who seek my life lay snares for me; And those who seek to injure me have threatened destruction, And they devise treachery all day long. Psa 38:12 οἱ φίλοι μου καὶ οἱ πλησίον μου ἐξ ἐναντίας μου ἤγγισαν καὶ ἔστησαν καὶ οἱ ἔγγιστά μου ἀπὸ μακρόθεν ἔστησαν
Psa 38:13 But I, as a deaf man, heard not; and I was as a dumb man that openeth not his mouth. Psa 38:13 But I, like a deaf man, do not hear; And I am like a mute man who does not open his mouth. Psa 38:13 καὶ ἐξεβιάσαντο οἱ ζητοῦντες τὴν ψυχήν μου καὶ οἱ ζητοῦντες τὰ κακά μοι ἐλάλησαν ματαιότητας καὶ δολιότητας ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν ἐμελέτησαν
Psa 38:14 Thus I was as a man that heareth not, and in whose mouth are no reproofs. Psa 38:14 Yes, I am like a man who does not hear, And in whose mouth are no arguments. Psa 38:14 ἐγὼ δὲ ὡσεὶ κωφὸς οὐκ ἤκουον καὶ ὡσεὶ ἄλαλος οὐκ ἀνοίγων τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ
Psa 38:15 For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God. Psa 38:15 For I hope in You, O Lord; You will answer, O Lord my God. Psa 38:15 καὶ ἐγενόμην ὡσεὶ ἄνθρωπος οὐκ ἀκούων καὶ οὐκ ἔχων ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ ἐλεγμούς
Psa 38:16 For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me. Psa 38:16 For I said, "May they not rejoice over me, Who, when my foot slips, would magnify themselves against me." Psa 38:16 ὅτι ἐπὶ σοί κύριε ἤλπισα σὺ εἰσακούσῃ κύριε ὁ θεός μου
Psa 38:17 For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually before me. Psa 38:17 For I am ready to fall, And my sorrow is continually before me. Psa 38:17 ὅτι εἶπα μήποτε ἐπιχαρῶσίν μοι οἱ ἐχθροί μου καὶ ἐν τῷ σαλευθῆναι πόδας μου ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἐμεγαλορρημόνησαν
Psa 38:18 For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for my sin. Psa 38:18 For I confess my iniquity; I am full of anxiety because of my sin. Psa 38:18 ὅτι ἐγὼ εἰς μάστιγας ἕτοιμος καὶ ἡ ἀλγηδών μου ἐνώπιόν μου διὰ παντός
Psa 38:19 But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied. Psa 38:19 But my enemies are vigorous and strong, And many are those who hate me wrongfully. Psa 38:19 ὅτι τὴν ἀνομίαν μου ἐγὼ ἀναγγελῶ καὶ μεριμνήσω ὑπὲρ τῆς ἁμαρτίας μου
Psa 38:20 They also that render evil for good are mine adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is. Psa 38:20 And those who repay evil for good, They oppose me, because I follow what is good. Psa 38:20 οἱ δὲ ἐχθροί μου ζῶσιν καὶ κεκραταίωνται ὑπὲρ ἐμέ καὶ ἐπληθύνθησαν οἱ μισοῦντές με ἀδίκως
Psa 38:21 Forsake me not, O LORD: O my God, be not far from me. Psa 38:21 Do not forsake me, O Lord; O my God, do not be far from me! Psa 38:21 οἱ ἀνταποδιδόντες κακὰ ἀντὶ ἀγαθῶν ἐνδιέβαλλόν με ἐπεὶ κατεδίωκον δικαιοσύνην καὶ ἀπέρριψάν με τὸν ἀγαπητὸν ὡσεὶ νεκρὸν ἐβδελυγμένον
Psa 38:22 Make haste to help me, O Lord my salvation. Psa 38:22 Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation! Psa:38:22:μὴ ἐγκαταλίπῃς με κύριε ὁ θεός μου μὴ ἀποστῇς ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ Psa 37:23 πρόσχες εἰς τὴν βοήθειάν μου κύριε τῆς σωτηρίας μου
Psa 39:1 I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me. Psa 39:1 I said, "I will guard my ways That I may not sin with my tongue; I will guard my mouth as with a muzzle While the wicked are in my presence." Psa 39:1 εἰς τὸ τέλος τῷ Ιδιθουν ᾠδὴ τῷ Δαυιδ
Psa 39:2 I was dumb with silence, I held my peace, even from good; and my sorrow was stirred. Psa 39:2 I was mute and silent, I refrained even from good, And my sorrow grew worse. Psa 39:2 εἶπα φυλάξω τὰς ὁδούς μου τοῦ μὴ ἁμαρτάνειν ἐν γλώσσῃ μου ἐθέμην τῷ στόματί μου φυλακὴν ἐν τῷ συστῆναι τὸν ἁμαρτωλὸν ἐναντίον μου
Psa 39:3 My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue, Psa 39:3 My heart was hot within me, While I was musing the fire burned; Then I spoke with my tongue: Psa 39:3 ἐκωφώθην καὶ ἐταπεινώθην καὶ ἐσίγησα ἐξ ἀγαθῶν καὶ τὸ ἄλγημά μου ἀνεκαινίσθη
Psa 39:4 LORD, make me to know mine end, and the measure of my days, what it is: that I may know how frail I am. Psa 39:4 "Lord, make me to know my end And what is the extent of my days; Let me know how transient I am. Psa 39:4 ἐθερμάνθη ἡ καρδία μου ἐντός μου καὶ ἐν τῇ μελέτῃ μου ἐκκαυθήσεται πῦρ ἐλάλησα ἐν γλώσσῃ μου
Psa 39:5 Behold, thou hast made my days as an handbreadth; and mine age is as nothing before thee: verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity. Selah. Psa 39:5 "Behold, You have made my days as handbreadths, And my lifetime as nothing in Your sight; Surely every man at his best is a mere breath. Selah. Psa 39:5 γνώρισόν μοι κύριε τὸ πέρας μου καὶ τὸν ἀριθμὸν τῶν ἡμερῶν μου τίς ἐστιν ἵνα γνῶ τί ὑστερῶ ἐγώ
Psa 39 6 Surely every man walketh in a vain shew: surely they are disquieted in vain he heapeth up riches, and knoweth not who shall gather them. Psa 39:6 "Surely every man walks about as a phantom; Surely they make an uproar for nothing; He amasses riches and does not know who will gather them. Psa 39:6 ἰδοὺ παλαιστὰς ἔθου τὰς ἡμέρας μου καὶ ἡ ὑπόστασίς μου ὡσεὶ οὐθὲν ἐνώπιόν σου πλὴν τὰ σύμπαντα ματαιότης πᾶς ἄνθρωπος ζῶν διάψαλμα
Psa 39:7 And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee. Psa 39:7 "And now, Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in You. Psa 39:7 μέντοιγε ἐν εἰκόνι διαπορεύεται ἄνθρωπος πλὴν μάτην ταράσσονται θησαυρίζει καὶ οὐ γινώσκει τίνι συνάξει αὐτά
Psa 39:8 Deliver me from all my transgressions: make me not the reproach of the foolish. Psa 39:8 "Deliver me from all my transgressions; Make me not the reproach of the foolish. Psa 39:8 καὶ νῦν τίς ἡ ὑπομονή μου οὐχὶ ὁ κύριος καὶ ἡ ὑπόστασίς μου παρὰ σοῦ ἐστιν
Psa 39:9 I was dumb, I opened not my mouth; because thou didst it. Psa 39:9 "I have become mute, I do not open my mouth, Because it is You who have done it. Psa 39:9 ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν ἀνομιῶν μου ῥῦσαί με ὄνειδος ἄφρονι ἔδωκάς με
Psa 39:10 Remove thy stroke away from me: I am consumed by the blow of thine hand. Psa 39:10 "Remove Your plague from me; Because of the opposition of Your hand I am perishing. Psa 39:10 ἐκωφώθην καὶ οὐκ ἤνοιξα τὸ στόμα μου ὅτι σὺ εἶ ὁ ποιήσας με
Psa 39:11 When thou with rebukes dost correct man for iniquity, thou makest his beauty to consume away like a moth: surely every man is vanity. Selah. Psa 39:11 "With reproofs You chasten a man for iniquity; You consume as a moth what is precious to him; Surely every man is a mere breath. Selah. Psa 39:11 ἀπόστησον ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ τὰς μάστιγάς σου ἀπὸ τῆς ἰσχύος τῆς χειρός σου ἐγὼ ἐξέλιπον
Psa 39:12 Hear my prayer, O LORD, and give ear unto my cry; hold not thy peace at my tears: for I am a stranger with thee, and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. Psa 39:12 "Hear my prayer, O Lord, and give ear to my cry; Do not be silent at my tears; For I am a stranger with You, A sojourner like all my fathers. Psa 39:12 ἐν ἐλεγμοῖς ὑπὲρ ἀνομίας ἐπαίδευσας ἄνθρωπον καὶ ἐξέτηξας ὡς ἀράχνην τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ πλὴν μάτην ταράσσεται πᾶς ἄνθρωπος διάψαλμα
Psa 39:13 O spare me, that I may recover strength, before I go hence, and be no more. Psa 39:13 "Turn Your gaze away from me, that I may smile again Before I depart and am no more." Psa:39:13:εἰσάκουσον τῆς προσευχῆς μου κύριε καὶ τῆς δεήσεώς μου ἐνώτισαι τῶν δακρύων μου μὴ παρασιωπήσῃς ὅτι πάροικος ἐγώ εἰμι παρὰ σοὶ καὶ παρεπίδημος καθὼς πάντες οἱ πατέρες μου Psa 38:14 ἄνες μοι ἵνα ἀναψύξω πρὸ τοῦ με ἀπελθεῖν καὶ οὐκέτι μὴ ὑπάρξω
Psa 40:1 I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. Psa 40:1 I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. Psa 40:1 εἰς τὸ τέλος τῷ Δαυιδ ψαλμός
Psa 40:2 He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. Psa 40:2 He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the miry clay, And He set my feet upon a rock making my footsteps firm. Psa 40:2 ὑπομένων ὑπέμεινα τὸν κύριον καὶ προσέσχεν μοι καὶ εἰσήκουσεν τῆς δεήσεώς μου
Psa 40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. Psa 40:3 He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God; Many will see and fear And will trust in the Lord. Psa 40:3 καὶ ἀνήγαγέν με ἐκ λάκκου ταλαιπωρίας καὶ ἀπὸ πηλοῦ ἰλύος καὶ ἔστησεν ἐπὶ πέτραν τοὺς πόδας μου καὶ κατηύθυνεν τὰ διαβήματά μου
Psa 40:4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies. Psa 40:4 How blessed is the man who has made the Lord his trust, And has not turned to the proud, nor to those who lapse into falsehood. Psa 40:4 καὶ ἐνέβαλεν εἰς τὸ στόμα μου ᾆσμα καινόν ὕμνον τῷ θεῷ ἡμῶν ὄψονται πολλοὶ καὶ φοβηθήσονται καὶ ἐλπιοῦσιν ἐπὶ κύριον
Psa 40 5 Many, O LORD my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered. Psa 40:5 Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders which You have done, And Your thoughts toward us; There is none to compare with You. If I would declare and speak of them, They would be too numerous to count. Psa 40:5 μακάριος ἀνήρ οὗ ἐστιν τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου ἐλπὶς αὐτοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἐνέβλεψεν εἰς ματαιότητας καὶ μανίας ψευδεῖς
Psa 40:6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required. Psa 40:6 Sacrifice and meal offering You have not desired; My ears You have opened; Burnt offering and sin offering You have not required. Psa 40:6 πολλὰ ἐποίησας σύ κύριε ὁ θεός μου τὰ θαυμάσιά σου καὶ τοῖς διαλογισμοῖς σου οὐκ ἔστιν τίς ὁμοιωθήσεταί σοι ἀπήγγειλα καὶ ἐλάλησα ἐπληθύνθησαν ὑπὲρ ἀριθμόν
Psa 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me, Psa 40:7 Then I said, "Behold, I come; In the scroll of the book it is written of me. Psa 40:7 θυσίαν καὶ προσφορὰν οὐκ ἠθέλησας ὠτία δὲ κατηρτίσω μοι ὁλοκαύτωμα καὶ περὶ ἁμαρτίας οὐκ ᾔτησας
Psa 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart. Psa 40:8 I delight to do Your will, O my God; Your Law is within my heart." Psa 40:8 τότε εἶπον ἰδοὺ ἥκω ἐν κεφαλίδι βιβλίου γέγραπται περὶ ἐμοῦ
Psa 40:9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, thou knowest. Psa 40:9 I have proclaimed glad tidings of righteousness in the great congregation; Behold, I will not restrain my lips, O Lord, You know. Psa 40:9 τοῦ ποιῆσαι τὸ θέλημά σου ὁ θεός μου ἐβουλήθην καὶ τὸν νόμον σου ἐν μέσῳ τῆς κοιλίας μου
Psa 40:10 I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation. Psa 40:10 I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have spoken of Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth from the great congregation. Psa 40:10 εὐηγγελισάμην δικαιοσύνην ἐν ἐκκλησίᾳ μεγάλῃ ἰδοὺ τὰ χείλη μου οὐ μὴ κωλύσω κύριε σὺ ἔγνως
Psa 40:11 Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. Psa 40:11 You, O Lord, will not withhold Your compassion from me; Your lovingkindness and Your truth will continually preserve me. Psa 40:11 τὴν δικαιοσύνην σου οὐκ ἔκρυψα ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ μου τὴν ἀλήθειάν σου καὶ τὸ σωτήριόν σου εἶπα οὐκ ἔκρυψα τὸ ἔλεός σου καὶ τὴν ἀλήθειάν σου ἀπὸ συναγωγῆς πολλῆς
Psa 40 12 For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head therefore my heart faileth me. Psa 40:12 For evils beyond number have surrounded me; My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to see; They are more numerous than the hairs of my head, And my heart has failed me. Psa 40:12 σὺ δέ κύριε μὴ μακρύνης τοὺς οἰκτιρμούς σου ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ τὸ ἔλεός σου καὶ ἡ ἀλήθειά σου διὰ παντὸς ἀντελάβοντό μου
Psa 40:13 Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me. Psa 40:13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me; Make haste, O Lord, to help me. Psa 40:13 ὅτι περιέσχον με κακά ὧν οὐκ ἔστιν ἀριθμός κατέλαβόν με αἱ ἀνομίαι μου καὶ οὐκ ἠδυνήθην τοῦ βλέπειν ἐπληθύνθησαν ὑπὲρ τὰς τρίχας τῆς κεφαλῆς μου καὶ ἡ καρδία μου ἐγκατέλιπέν με
Psa 40:14 Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil. Psa 40:14 Let those be ashamed and humiliated together Who seek my life to destroy it; Let those be turned back and dishonored Who delight in my hurt. Psa 40:14 εὐδόκησον κύριε τοῦ ῥύσασθαί με κύριε εἰς τὸ βοηθῆσαί μοι πρόσχες
Psa 40:15 Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha. Psa 40:15 Let those be appalled because of their shame Who say to me, "Aha, aha!" Psa 40:15 καταισχυνθείησαν καὶ ἐντραπείησαν ἅμα οἱ ζητοῦντες τὴν ψυχήν μου τοῦ ἐξᾶραι αὐτήν ἀποστραφείησαν εἰς τὰ ὀπίσω καὶ ἐντραπείησαν οἱ θέλοντές μοι κακά
Psa 40:16 Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: let such as love thy salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified. Psa 40:16 Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let those who love Your salvation say continually, "The Lord be magnified!" Psa 40:16 κομισάσθωσαν παραχρῆμα αἰσχύνην αὐτῶν οἱ λέγοντές μοι εὖγε εὖγε
Psa 40:17 But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinketh upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God. Psa 40:17 Since I am afflicted and needy, Let the Lord be mindful of me. You are my help and my deliverer; Do not delay, O my God. Psa:40:17:ἀγαλλιάσαιντο καὶ εὐφρανθείησαν ἐπὶ σοὶ πάντες οἱ ζητοῦντές σε κύριε καὶ εἰπάτωσαν διὰ παντός μεγαλυνθήτω ὁ κύριος οἱ ἀγαπῶντες τὸ σωτήριόν σου Psa 39:18 ἐγὼ δὲ πτωχός εἰμι καὶ πένης κύριος φροντιεῖ μου βοηθός μου καὶ ὑπερασπιστής μου σὺ εἶ ὁ θεός μου μὴ χρονίσῃς
Psa 41:1 Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. Psa 41:1 How blessed is he who considers the helpless; The Lord will deliver him in a day of trouble. Psa 41:1 εἰς τὸ τέλος ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυιδ
Psa 41:2 The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies. Psa 41:2 The Lord will protect him and keep him alive, And he shall be called blessed upon the earth; And do not give him over to the desire of his enemies. Psa 41:2 μακάριος ὁ συνίων ἐπὶ πτωχὸν καὶ πένητα ἐν ἡμέρᾳ πονηρᾷ ῥύσεται αὐτὸν ὁ κύριος
Psa 41:3 The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing: thou wilt make all his bed in his sickness. Psa 41:3 The Lord will sustain him upon his sickbed; In his illness, You restore him to health. Psa 41:4 I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee. Psa 41:4 As for me, I said, "O Lord, be gracious to me; Heal my soul, for I have sinned against You." Psa 41:4 κύριος βοηθήσαι αὐτῷ ἐπὶ κλίνης ὀδύνης αὐτοῦ ὅλην τὴν κοίτην αὐτοῦ ἔστρεψας ἐν τῇ ἀρρωστίᾳ αὐτοῦ
Psa 41:5 Mine enemies speak evil of me, When shall he die, and his name perish? Psa 41:5 My enemies speak evil against me, "When will he die, and his name perish?" Psa 41:5 ἐγὼ εἶπα κύριε ἐλέησόν με ἴασαι τὴν ψυχήν μου ὅτι ἥμαρτόν σοι
Psa 41:6 And if he come to see me, he speaketh vanity: his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he telleth it. Psa 41:6 And when he comes to see me, he speaks falsehood; His heart gathers wickedness to itself; When he goes outside, he tells it. Psa 41:6 οἱ ἐχθροί μου εἶπαν κακά μοι πότε ἀποθανεῖται καὶ ἀπολεῖται τὸ ὄνομα αὐτοῦ
Psa 41:7 All that hate me whisper together against me: against me do they devise my hurt. Psa 41:7 All who hate me whisper together against me; Against me they devise my hurt, saying, Psa 41:7 καὶ εἰ εἰσεπορεύετο τοῦ ἰδεῖν μάτην ἐλάλει ἡ καρδία αὐτοῦ συνήγαγεν ἀνομίαν ἑαυτῷ ἐξεπορεύετο ἔξω καὶ ἐλάλει
Psa 41:8 An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more. Psa 41:8 "A wicked thing is poured out upon him, That when he lies down, he will not rise up again." Psa 41:8 ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτὸ κατ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐψιθύριζον πάντες οἱ ἐχθροί μου κατ᾽ ἐμοῦ ἐλογίζοντο κακά μοι
Psa 41:9 Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. Psa 41:11 By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. Psa 41:11 By this I know that You are pleased with me, Because my enemy does not shout in triumph over me. Psa 41:11 σὺ δέ κύριε ἐλέησόν με καὶ ἀνάστησόν με καὶ ἀνταποδώσω αὐτοῖς
Psa 41:12 And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever. Psa 41:12 As for me, You uphold me in my integrity, And You set me in Your presence forever. Psa 41:12 ἐν τούτῳ ἔγνων ὅτι τεθέληκάς με ὅτι οὐ μὴ ἐπιχαρῇ ὁ ἐχθρός μου ἐπ᾽ ἐμέ

Psa 42:2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God? Psa 42:2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God; When shall I come and appear before God? Psa 42:2 ὃν τρόπον ἐπιποθεῖ ἡ ἔλαφος ἐπὶ τὰς πηγὰς τῶν ὑδάτων οὕτως ἐπιποθεῖ ἡ ψυχή μου πρὸς σέ ὁ θεός
Psa 42:3 My tears have been my meat day and night, while they continually say unto me, Where is thy God? Psa 42:3 My tears have been my food day and night, While they say to me all day long, "Where is your God?" Psa 42:3 ἐδίψησεν ἡ ψυχή μου πρὸς τὸν θεὸν τὸν ζῶντα πότε ἥξω καὶ ὀφθήσομαι τῷ προσώπῳ τοῦ θεοῦ
Psa 42:4 When I remember these things, I pour out my soul in me: for I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept holyday. Psa 42:4 These things I remember and I pour out my soul within me. For I used to go along with the throng and lead them in procession to the house of God, With the voice of joy and thanksgiving, a multitude keeping festival. Psa 42:4 ἐγενήθη μοι τὰ δάκρυά μου ἄρτος ἡμέρας καὶ νυκτὸς ἐν τῷ λέγεσθαί μοι καθ᾽ ἑκάστην ἡμέραν ποῦ ἐστιν ὁ θεός σου
Psa 42:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance. Psa 42:5 Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him For the help of His presence. Psa 42:5 ταῦτα ἐμνήσθην καὶ ἐξέχεα ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ τὴν ψυχήν μου ὅτι διελεύσομαι ἐν τόπῳ σκηνῆς θαυμαστῆς ἕως τοῦ οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ ἐν φωνῇ ἀγαλλιάσεως καὶ ἐξομολογήσεως ἤχου ἑορτάζοντος
Psa 42:6 O my God, my soul is cast down within me: therefore will I remember thee from the land of Jordan, and of the Hermonites, from the hill Mizar. Psa 42:7 Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me. Psa 42:8 Yet the LORD will command his lovingkindness in the day time, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. Psa 42:8 ἄβυσσος ἄβυσσον ἐπικαλεῖται εἰς φωνὴν τῶν καταρρακτῶν σου πάντες οἱ μετεωρισμοί σου καὶ τὰ κύματά σου ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ διῆλθον
Psa 42:9 I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? Psa 42:9 I will say to God my rock, "Why have You forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?" Psa 42:9 ἡμέρας ἐντελεῖται κύριος τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ καὶ νυκτὸς ᾠδὴ παρ᾽ ἐμοί προσευχὴ τῷ θεῷ τῆς ζωῆς μου
Psa 42:10 As with a sword in my bones, mine enemies reproach me; while they say daily unto me, Where is thy God? Psa 42:10 As a shattering of my bones, my adversaries revile me, While they say to me all day long, "Where is your God?"
