Day - 335 - 1 Corinthians 10-13 |
1Co 10:1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
1 Co 10:1 For I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea;
1Co 10:2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
1 Co 10:2 and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
1Co 10:3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
1 Co 10:3 and all ate the same spiritual food;
1Co 10 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them and that Rock was Christ.
1 Co 10:4 and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ.
1Co 10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
1 Co 10:5 Nevertheless, with most of them God was not well-pleased; for they were laid low in the wilderness.
1Co 10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
1 Co 10:6 Now these things happened as examples for us, so that we would not crave evil things as they also craved.
1Co 10:7 Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.
1 Co 10:7 Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, "THE PEOPLE SAT DOWN TO EAT AND DRINK, AND STOOD UP TO PLAY."
1Co 10:8 Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand.
1 Co 10:8 Nor let us act immorally, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day.
1Co 10:9 Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.
1 Co 10:9 Nor let us try the Lord, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the serpents.
1Co 10:10 Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer.
1 Co 10:10 Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer.
1Co 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
1 Co 10:11 Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come.
1Co 10:12 Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.
1 Co 10:12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall.
1Co 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Co 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.
1Co 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
1 Co 10:14 Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
1Co 10:15 I speak as to wise men; judge ye what I say.
1 Co 10:15 I speak as to wise men; you judge what I say.
1Co 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?
1 Co 10:16 Is not the cup of blessing which we bless a sharing in the blood of Christ? Is not the bread which we break a sharing in the body of Christ?
Co1 10:16 τὸ ποτήριον τῆς εὐλογίας ὃ εὐλογοῦμεν, οὐχὶ κοινωνία ἐστὶν τοῦ αἵματος τοῦ χριστοῦ; τὸν ἄρτον ὃν κλῶμεν, οὐχὶ κοινωνία τοῦ σώματος τοῦ χριστοῦ ἐστιν;
1Co 10:17 For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
1 Co 10:17 Since there is one bread, we who are many are one body; for we all partake of the one bread.
1Co 10:18 Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar?
1 Co 10:18 Look at the nation Israel; are not those who eat the sacrifices sharers in the altar?
Co1 10:18 βλέπετε τὸν ἰσραὴλ κατὰ σάρκα· οὐχ οἱ ἐσθίοντες τὰς θυσίας κοινωνοὶ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου εἰσίν;
1Co 10:19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that which is offered in sacrifice to idols is any thing?
1 Co 10:19 What do I mean then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?
Co1 10:19 τί οὗν φημι; ὅτι εἰδωλόθυτόν τί ἐστιν; ἢ ὅτι εἴδωλόν τί ἐστιν;
1Co 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.
1 Co 10:20 No, but I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not want you to become sharers in demons.
1Co 10:21 Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils.
1 Co 10:21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.
1Co 10:22 Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he?
1 Co 10:22 Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? We are not stronger than He, are we?
Co1 10:22 ἢ παραζηλοῦμεν τὸν κύριον; μὴ ἰσχυρότεροι αὐτοῦ ἐσμεν;
1Co 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
1 Co 10:23 All things are lawful, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful, but not all things edify.
1Co 10:24 Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth.
1 Co 10:24 Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor.
1Co 10:25 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question for conscience sake:
1 Co 10:25 Eat anything that is sold in the meat market without asking questions for conscience' sake;
1Co 10:26 For the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof.
1 Co 10:26 for the earth is the Lord's, and all it contains.
1Co 10:27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question for conscience sake.
1 Co 10:27 If one of the unbelievers invites you and you want to go, eat anything that is set before you without asking questions for conscience' sake.
1Co 10 28 But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof
1 Co 10:28 But if anyone says to you, "This is meat sacrificed to idols," do not eat it, for the sake of the one who informed you, and for conscience' sake;
1Co 10:29 Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience?
1 Co 10:29 I mean not your own conscience, but the other man's; for why is my freedom judged by another's conscience?
Co1 10:29 συνείδησιν δὲ λέγω οὐχὶ τὴν ἑαυτοῦ ἀλλὰ τὴν τοῦ ἑτέρου. ἱνατί γὰρ ἡ ἐλευθερία μου κρίνεται ὑπὸ ἄλλης συνειδήσεως;
1Co 10:30 For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
1 Co 10:30 If I partake with thankfulness, why am I slandered concerning that for which I give thanks?
Co1 10:30 εἰ ἐγὼ χάριτι μετέχω, τί βλασφημοῦμαι ὑπὲρ οὖ ἐγὼ εὐχαριστῶ;
1Co 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
1 Co 10:31 Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
1Co 10:32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
1 Co 10:32 Give no offense either to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God;
1Co 10:33 Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved.
1 Co 10:33 just as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit but the profit of the many, so that they may be saved.
1Co 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.
1 Co 11:1 Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ.
1Co 11:2 Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things, and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you.
1 Co 11:2 Now I praise you because you remember me in everything and hold firmly to the traditions, just as I delivered them to you.
1Co 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.
1 Co 11:3 But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ.
1Co 11:4 Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, dishonoureth his head.
1 Co 11:4 Every man who has something on his head while praying or prophesying disgraces his head.
1Co 11:5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: for that is even all one as if she were shaven.
1 Co 11:5 But every woman who has her head uncovered while praying or prophesying disgraces her head, for she is one and the same as the woman whose head is shaved.
1Co 11:6 For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
1 Co 11:6 For if a woman does not cover her head, let her also have her hair cut off; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to have her hair cut off or her head shaved, let her cover her head.
1Co 11:7 For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
1 Co 11:7 For a man ought not to have his head covered, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man.
1Co 11:8 For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.
1 Co 11:8 For man does not originate from woman, but woman from man;
1Co 11:9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
1 Co 11:9 for indeed man was not created for the woman's sake, but woman for the man's sake.
1Co 11:10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.
1 Co 11:10 Therefore the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels.
1Co 11:11 Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
1 Co 11:11 However, in the Lord, neither is woman independent of man, nor is man independent of woman.
1Co 11:12 For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
1 Co 11:12 For as the woman originates from the man, so also the man has his birth through the woman; and all things originate from God.
1Co 11:13 Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
1 Co 11:13 Judge for yourselves: is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?
Co1 11:13 ἐν ὑμῖν αὐτοῖς κρίνατε· πρέπον ἐστὶν γυναῖκα ἀκατακάλυπτον τῶ θεῶ προσεύχεσθαι;
1Co 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
1 Co 11:14 Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him,
1Co 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.
1 Co 11:15 but if a woman has long hair, it is a glory to her? For her hair is given to her for a covering.
1Co 11:16 But if any man seem to be contentious, we have no such custom, neither the churches of God.
1 Co 11:16 But if one is inclined to be contentious, we have no other practice, nor have the churches of God.
1Co 11:17 Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
1 Co 11:17 But in giving this instruction, I do not praise you, because you come together not for the better but for the worse.
1Co 11:18 For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
1 Co 11:18 For, in the first place, when you come together as a church, I hear that divisions exist among you; and in part I believe it.
1Co 11:19 For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
1 Co 11:19 For there must also be factions among you, so that those who are approved may become evident among you.
1Co 11:20 When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper.
1 Co 11:20 Therefore when you meet together, it is not to eat the Lord's Supper,
1Co 11:21 For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.
1 Co 11:21 for in your eating each one takes his own supper first; and one is hungry and another is drunk.
1Co 11:22 What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
1 Co 11:22 What! Do you not have houses in which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the church of God and shame those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you? In this I will not praise you.
1Co 11:23 For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
1 Co 11:23 For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread;
1Co 11 24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you this do in remembrance of me.
1 Co 11:24 and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, "This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me."
1Co 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
1 Co 11:25 In the same way He took the cup also after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me."
1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
1 Co 11:26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until He comes.
1Co 11:27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
1 Co 11:27 Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
1Co 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
1 Co 11:28 But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
1Co 11:29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
1 Co 11:29 For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly.
1Co 11:30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
1 Co 11:30 For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep.
1Co 11:31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
1 Co 11:31 But if we judged ourselves rightly, we would not be judged.
1Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
1 Co 11:32 But when we are judged, we are disciplined by the Lord so that we will not be condemned along with the world.
1Co 11:33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
1 Co 11:33 So then, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
1Co 11:34 And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.
1 Co 11:34 If anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, so that you will not come together for judgment. The remaining matters I will arrange when I come.
1Co 12:1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
1 Co 12:1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware.
1Co 12:2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
1 Co 12:2 You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to the mute idols, however you were led.
1Co 12:3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
1 Co 12:3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus is accursed"; and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.
1Co 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
1 Co 12:4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.
1Co 12:5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
1 Co 12:5 And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.
1Co 12:6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
1 Co 12:6 There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.
1Co 12:7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
1 Co 12:7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
1Co 12:8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
1 Co 12:8 For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit;
1Co 12:9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
1 Co 12:9 to another faith by the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,
1Co 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
1 Co 12:10 and to another the effecting of miracles, and to another prophecy, and to another the distinguishing of spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, and to another the interpretation of tongues.
1Co 12:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
1 Co 12:11 But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.
1Co 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
1 Co 12:12 For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.
1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
1 Co 12:13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
1Co 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.
1 Co 12:14 For the body is not one member, but many.
1Co 12:15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
1 Co 12:15 If the foot says, "Because I am not a hand, I am not a part of the body," it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body.
1Co 12:16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
1 Co 12:16 And if the ear says, "Because I am not an eye, I am not a part of the body," it is not for this reason any the less a part of the body.
1Co 12:17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?
1 Co 12:17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the sense of smell be?
Co1 12:17 εἰ ὅλον τὸ σῶμα ὀφθαλμός, ποῦ ἡ ἀκοή; εἰ ὅλον ἀκοή, ποῦ ἡ ὄσφρησις;
1Co 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
1 Co 12:18 But now God has placed the members, each one of them, in the body, just as He desired.
1Co 12:19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?
1 Co 12:19 If they were all one member, where would the body be?
Co1 12:19 εἰ δὲ ἦν τὰ πάντα ἓν μέλος, ποῦ τὸ σῶμα;
1Co 12:20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.
1 Co 12:20 But now there are many members, but one body.
1Co 12:21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
1 Co 12:21 And the eye cannot say to the hand," I have no need of you"; or again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you."
1Co 12:22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
1 Co 12:22 On the contrary, it is much truer that the members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary;
1Co 12:23 And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.
1 Co 12:23 and those members of the body which we deem less honorable, on these we bestow more abundant honor, and our less presentable members become much more presentable,
1Co 12:24 For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.
1 Co 12:24 whereas our more presentable members have no need of it. But God has so composed the body, giving more abundant honor to that member which lacked,
1Co 12:25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
1 Co 12:25 so that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.
1Co 12:26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
1 Co 12:26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
1Co 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
1 Co 12:27 Now you are Christ's body, and individually members of it.
1Co 12:28 And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.
1 Co 12:28 And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, various kinds of tongues.
1Co 12:29 Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles?
1 Co 12:29 All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of miracles, are they?
Co1 12:29 μὴ πάντες ἀπόστολοι; μὴ πάντες προφῆται; μὴ πάντες διδάσκαλοι; μὴ πάντες δυνάμεις;
1Co 12:30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
1 Co 12:30 All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they?
Co1 12:30 μὴ πάντες χαρίσματα ἔχουσιν ἰαμάτων; μὴ πάντες γλώσσαις λαλοῦσιν; μὴ πάντες διερμηνεύουσιν;
1Co 12:31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
1 Co 12:31 But earnestly desire the greater gifts. And I show you a still more excellent way.
1Co 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
1 Co 13:1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
1Co 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
1 Co 13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
1Co 13:3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
1 Co 13:3 And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
1Co 13:4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
1 Co 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,
1Co 13:5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
1 Co 13:5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,
1Co 13:6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
1 Co 13:6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
1Co 13:7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
1 Co 13:7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1Co 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
1 Co 13:8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away.
1Co 13:9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
1 Co 13:9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part;
1Co 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.
1 Co 13:10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away.
1Co 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
1 Co 13:11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.
1Co 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
1 Co 13:12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.
1Co 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
1 Co 13:13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love.
