Wherefore Saul said to David, Thou shalt this day be my son in law in the one of the twain. 1 Sa 18:21 Saul thought, "I will give her to him that she may become a snare to him, and that the hand of the Philistines may be against him." Therefore Saul said to David, "For a second time you may be my son-in-law today."

And David said, Seemeth it to you a light thing to be a king's son in law, seeing that I am a poor man, and lightly esteemed? 1 Sa 18:23 So Saul's servants spoke these words to David. But David said, "Is it trivial in your sight to become the king's son-in-law, since I am a poor man and lightly esteemed?"

Now Saul planned to make David fall by the hand of the Philistines.
1Sa 18:26 And when his servants told David these words, it pleased David well to be the king's son in law: and the days were not expired. 1 Sa 18:26 When his servants told David these words, it pleased David to become the king's son-in-law. Before the days had expired Sa1|18|26|καὶ ἀπαγγέλλουσιν οἱ παῖδες Σαουλ τῷ Δαυιδ τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα καὶ εὐθύνθη ὁ λόγος ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς Δαυιδ ἐπιγαμβρεῦσαι τῷ βασιλεῖ
1Sa 18:27 Wherefore David arose and went, he and his men, and slew of the Philistines two hundred men; and David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full tale to the king, that he might be the king's son in law. And Saul gave him Michal his daughter to wife. 1 Sa 18:27 David rose up and went, he and his men, and struck down two hundred men among the Philistines. Then David brought their foreskins, and they gave them in full number to the king, that he might become the king's son-in-law. So Saul gave him Michal his daughter for a wife.
1Sa 18:28 And Saul saw and knew that the LORD was with David, and that Michal Saul's daughter loved him. 1 Sa 18:28 When Saul saw and knew that the Lord was with David, and that Michal, Saul's daughter, loved him, Sa1|18|28|καὶ εἶδεν Σαουλ ὅτι κύριος μετὰ Δαυιδ καὶ πᾶς Ισραηλ ἠγάπα αὐτόν
1Sa 18:29 And Saul was yet the more afraid of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually. 1 Sa 18:29 then Saul was even more afraid of David. Thus Saul was David's enemy continually.
1Sa 18:30 Then the princes of the Philistines went forth: and it came to pass, after they went forth, that David behaved himself more wisely than all the servants of Saul; so that his name was much set by. 1 Sa 18:30 Then the commanders of the Philistines went out to battle, and it happened as often as they went out, that David behaved himself more wisely than all the servants of Saul. So his name was highly esteemed. Sa1|18|30| vs missing in LXX
