Jer 15:1 Then said the LORD unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth. Jer 15:1 Then the Lord said to me," Even though Moses and Samuel were to stand before Me, My heart would not be with this people; send them away from My presence and let them go! Jer|15|1|καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρός με ἐὰν στῇ Μωυσῆς καὶ Σαμουηλ πρὸ προσώπου μου οὐκ ἔστιν ἡ ψυχή μου πρὸς αὐτούς ἐξαπόστειλον τὸν λαὸν τοῦτον καὶ ἐξελθέτωσαν
Jer 15:2 And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity. Jer 15:2 And it shall be that when they say to you, 'Where should we go? 'then you are to tell them, 'Thus says the Lord:" Those destined for death, to death; And those destined for the sword, to the sword; And those destined for famine, to famine; And those destined for captivity, to captivity."' Jer|15|2|καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν εἴπωσιν πρὸς σέ ποῦ ἐξελευσόμεθα καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς τάδε λέγει κύριος ὅσοι εἰς θάνατον εἰς θάνατον καὶ ὅσοι εἰς μάχαιραν εἰς μάχαιραν καὶ ὅσοι εἰς λιμόν εἰς λιμόν καὶ ὅσοι εἰς αἰχμαλωσίαν εἰς αἰχμαλωσίαν
Jer 15:3 And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy. Jer 15:3 I will appoint over them four kinds of doom," declares the Lord."the sword to slay, the dogs to drag off, and the birds of the sky and the beasts of the earth to devour and destroy. Jer|15|3|καὶ ἐκδικήσω ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς τέσσαρα εἴδη λέγει κύριος τὴν μάχαιραν εἰς σφαγὴν καὶ τοὺς κύνας εἰς διασπασμὸν καὶ τὰ θηρία τῆς γῆς καὶ τὰ πετεινὰ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ εἰς βρῶσιν καὶ εἰς διαφθοράν
Jer 15:4 And I will cause them to be removed into all kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh the son of Hezekiah king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem. Jer 15:4 I will make them an object of horror among all the kingdoms of the earth because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, the king of Judah, for what he did in Jerusalem. Jer 15:5 For who shall have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan thee? or who shall go aside to ask how thou doest? Jer 15:5 "Indeed, who will have pity on you, O Jerusalem, Or who will mourn for you, Or who will turn aside to ask about your welfare? Jer|15|5|τίς φείσεται ἐπὶ σοί Ιερουσαλημ καὶ τίς δειλιάσει ἐπὶ σοί ἢ τίς ἀνακάμψει εἰς εἰρήνην σοι
Jer 15:6 Thou hast forsaken me, saith the LORD, thou art gone backward: therefore will I stretch out my hand against thee, and destroy thee; I am weary with repenting. Jer 15:6 "You who have forsaken Me," declares the Lord," You keep going backward. So I will stretch out My hand against you and destroy you; I am tired of relenting! Jer|15|6|σὺ ἀπεστράφης με λέγει κύριος ὀπίσω πορεύσῃ καὶ ἐκτενῶ τὴν χεῖρά μου καὶ διαφθερῶ σε καὶ οὐκέτι ἀνήσω αὐτούς
Jer 15:7 And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy my people since they return not from their ways. Jer 15:7 "I will winnow them with a winnowing fork At the gates of the land; I will bereave them of children, I will destroy My people; They did not repent of their ways. Jer|15|7|καὶ διασπερῶ αὐτοὺς ἐν διασπορᾷ ἐν πύλαις λαοῦ μου ἠτεκνώθησαν ἀπώλεσαν τὸν λαόν μου διὰ τὰς κακίας αὐτῶν
Jer 15:8 Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas: I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a spoiler at noonday: I have caused him to fall upon it suddenly, and terrors upon the city. Jer 15:8 "Their widows will be more numerous before Me Than the sand of the seas; I will bring against them, against the mother of a young man, A destroyer at noonday; I will suddenly bring down on her Anguish and dismay. Jer|15|8|ἐπληθύνθησαν χῆραι αὐτῶν ὑπὲρ τὴν ἄμμον τῆς θαλάσσης ἐπήγαγον ἐπὶ μητέρα νεανίσκου ταλαιπωρίαν ἐν μεσημβρίᾳ ἐπέρριψα ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν ἐξαίφνης τρόμον καὶ σπουδήν
Jer 15:9 She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the LORD. Jer 15:9 "She who bore seven sons pines away; Her breathing is labored. Her sun has set while it was yet day; She has been shamed and humiliated. So I will give over their survivors to the sword Before their enemies," declares the Lord. Jer|15|9|ἐκενώθη ἡ τίκτουσα ἑπτά ἀπεκάκησεν ἡ ψυχὴ αὐτῆς ἐπέδυ ὁ ἥλιος αὐτῇ ἔτι μεσούσης τῆς ἡμέρας κατῃσχύνθη καὶ ὠνειδίσθη τοὺς καταλοίπους αὐτῶν εἰς μάχαιραν δώσω ἐναντίον τῶν ἐχθρῶν αὐτῶν
Jer 15:10 Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have neither lent on usury, nor men have lent to me on usury; yet every one of them doth curse me. Jer 15:10 Woe to me, my mother, that you have borne me As a man of strife and a man of contention to all the land! I have not lent, nor have men lent money to me, Yet everyone curses me. Jer|15|10|οἴμμοι ἐγώ μῆτερ ὡς τίνα με ἔτεκες ἄνδρα δικαζόμενον καὶ διακρινόμενον πάσῃ τῇ γῇ οὔτε ὠφέλησα οὔτε ὠφέλησέν με οὐδείς ἡ ἰσχύς μου ἐξέλιπεν ἐν τοῖς καταρωμένοις με
Jer 15:11 The LORD said, Verily it shall be well with thy remnant; verily I will cause the enemy to entreat thee well in the time of evil and in the time of affliction. Jer 15:11 The Lord said," Surely I will set you free for purposes of good; Surely I will cause the enemy to make supplication to you In a time of disaster and a time of distress. Jer|15|11|γένοιτο δέσποτα κατευθυνόντων αὐτῶν εἰ μὴ παρέστην σοι ἐν καιρῷ τῶν κακῶν αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν καιρῷ θλίψεως αὐτῶν εἰς ἀγαθὰ πρὸς τὸν ἐχθρόν
Jer 15:12 Shall iron break the northern iron and the steel? Jer 15:12 "Can anyone smash iron, Iron from the north, or bronze? Jer|15|12|εἰ γνωσθήσεται σίδηρος καὶ περιβόλαιον χαλκοῦν
Jer 15:13 Thy substance and thy treasures will I give to the spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders. Jer 15:13 "Your wealth and your treasures I will give for booty without cost, Even for all your sins And within all your borders. Jer|15|13|ἡ ἰσχύς σου καὶ τοὺς θησαυρούς σου εἰς προνομὴν δώσω ἀντάλλαγμα διὰ πάσας τὰς ἁμαρτίας σου καὶ ἐν πᾶσι τοῖς ὁρίοις σου
Jer 15:14 And I will make thee to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not: for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you. Jer 15:14 "Then I will cause your enemies to bring it Into a land you do not know; For a fire has been kindled in My anger, It will burn upon you." Jer|15|14|καὶ καταδουλώσω σε κύκλῳ τοῖς ἐχθροῖς σου ἐν τῇ γῇ ᾗ οὐκ ᾔδεις ὅτι πῦρ ἐκκέκαυται ἐκ τοῦ θυμοῦ μου ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς καυθήσεται
Jer 15:15 O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke. Jer 15:15 You who know, O Lord, Remember me, take notice of me, And take vengeance for me on my persecutors. Do not, in view of Your patience, take me away; Know that for Your sake I endure reproach. Jer 15:16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. Jer 15:16 Your words were found and I ate them, And Your words became for me a joy and the delight of my heart; For I have been called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts. Jer|15|16|ὑπὸ τῶν ἀθετούντων τοὺς λόγους σου συντέλεσον αὐτούς καὶ ἔσται ὁ λόγος σου ἐμοὶ εἰς εὐφροσύνην καὶ χαρὰν καρδίας μου ὅτι ἐπικέκληται τὸ ὄνομά σου ἐπ᾽ ἐμοί κύριε παντοκράτωρ
Jer 15:17 I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation. Jer 15:17 I did not sit in the circle of merrymakers, Nor did I exult. Because of Your hand upon me I sat alone, For You filled me with indignation. Jer|15|17|οὐκ ἐκάθισα ἐν συνεδρίῳ αὐτῶν παιζόντων ἀλλὰ εὐλαβούμην ἀπὸ προσώπου χειρός σου κατὰ μόνας ἐκαθήμην ὅτι πικρίας ἐνεπλήσθην
Jer 15:18 Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail? Jer 15:18 Why has my pain been perpetual And my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? Will You indeed be to me like a deceptive stream With water that is unreliable? Jer|15|18|ἵνα τί οἱ λυποῦντές με κατισχύουσίν μου ἡ πληγή μου στερεά πόθεν ἰαθήσομαι γινομένη ἐγενήθη μοι ὡς ὕδωρ ψευδὲς οὐκ ἔχον πίστιν
Jer 15:19 Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them. Jer 15:19 Therefore, thus says the Lord," If you return, then I will restore you - Before Me you will stand; And if you extract the precious from the worthless, You will become My spokesman. They for their part may turn to you, But as for you, you must not turn to them. Jer|15|19|διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐὰν ἐπιστρέψῃς καὶ ἀποκαταστήσω σε καὶ πρὸ προσώπου μου στήσῃ καὶ ἐὰν ἐξαγάγῃς τίμιον ἀπὸ ἀναξίου ὡς στόμα μου ἔσῃ καὶ ἀναστρέψουσιν αὐτοὶ πρὸς σέ καὶ σὺ οὐκ ἀναστρέψεις πρὸς αὐτούς
Jer 15:20 And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD. Jer 15:20 "Then I will make you to this people A fortified wall of bronze; And though they fight against you, They will not prevail over you; For I am with you to save you And deliver you," declares the Lord. Jer|15|20|καὶ δώσω σε τῷ λαῷ τούτῳ ὡς τεῖχος ὀχυρὸν χαλκοῦν καὶ πολεμήσουσιν πρὸς σὲ καὶ οὐ μὴ δύνωνται πρὸς σέ διότι μετὰ σοῦ εἰμι τοῦ σῴζειν σε
Jer 15:21 And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible. Jer 15:21 "So I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked, And I will redeem you from the grasp of the violent." Jer|15|21|καὶ ἐξαιρεῖσθαί σε ἐκ χειρὸς πονηρῶν καὶ λυτρώσομαί σε ἐκ χειρὸς λοιμῶν
Jer 16:1 The word of the LORD came also unto me, saying, Jer 16:1 The word of the Lord also came to me saying, Jer|16|1|καὶ σὺ μὴ λάβῃς γυναῖκα λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ
Jer 16:2 Thou shalt not take thee a wife, neither shalt thou have sons or daughters in this place. Jer 16:2 "You shall not take a wife for yourself nor have sons or daughters in this place." Jer|16|2|καὶ οὐ γεννηθήσεταί σοι υἱὸς οὐδὲ θυγάτηρ ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ
Jer 16:3 For thus saith the LORD concerning the sons and concerning the daughters that are born in this place, and concerning their mothers that bare them, and concerning their fathers that begat them in this land; Jer 16:3 For thus says the Lord concerning the sons and daughters born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bear them, and their fathers who beget them in this land: Jer|16|3|ὅτι τάδε λέγει κύριος περὶ τῶν υἱῶν καὶ περὶ τῶν θυγατέρων τῶν γεννωμένων ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ καὶ περὶ τῶν μητέρων αὐτῶν τῶν τετοκυιῶν αὐτοὺς καὶ περὶ τῶν πατέρων αὐτῶν τῶν γεγεννηκότων αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ γῇ ταύτῃ
Jer 16:4 They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth. Jer 16:4 "They will die of deadly diseases, they will not be lamented or buried; they will be as dung on the surface of the ground and come to an end by sword and famine, and their carcasses will become food for the birds of the sky and for the beasts of the earth." Jer|16|4|ἐν θανάτῳ νοσερῷ ἀποθανοῦνται οὐ κοπήσονται καὶ οὐ ταφήσονται εἰς παράδειγμα ἐπὶ προσώπου τῆς γῆς ἔσονται καὶ τοῖς θηρίοις τῆς γῆς καὶ τοῖς πετεινοῖς τοῦ οὐρανοῦ ἐν μαχαίρᾳ πεσοῦνται καὶ ἐν λιμῷ συντελεσθήσονται
Jer 16:5 For thus saith the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the LORD, even lovingkindness and mercies. Jer 16:5 For thus says the Lord," Do not enter a house of mourning, or go to lament or to console them; for I have withdrawn My peace from this people," declares the Lord," My lovingkindness and compassion. Jer|16|5|τάδε λέγει κύριος μὴ εἰσέλθῃς εἰς θίασον αὐτῶν καὶ μὴ πορευθῇς τοῦ κόψασθαι καὶ μὴ πενθήσῃς αὐτούς ὅτι ἀφέστακα τὴν εἰρήνην μου ἀπὸ τοῦ λαοῦ τούτου
Jer 16:6 Both the great and the small shall die in this land: they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them: Jer 16:6 Both great men and small will die in this land; they will not be buried, they will not be lamented, nor will anyone gash himself or shave his head for them. Jer|16|6|οὐ μὴ κόψωνται αὐτοὺς οὐδὲ ἐντομίδας οὐ μὴ ποιήσωσιν καὶ οὐ ξυρήσονται
Jer 16:7 Neither shall men tear themselves for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother. Jer 16:7 Men will not break bread in mourning for them, to comfort anyone for the dead, nor give them a cup of consolation to drink for anyone's father or mother. Jer|16|7|καὶ οὐ μὴ κλασθῇ ἄρτος ἐν πένθει αὐτῶν εἰς παράκλησιν ἐπὶ τεθνηκότι οὐ ποτιοῦσιν αὐτὸν ποτήριον εἰς παράκλησιν ἐπὶ πατρὶ καὶ μητρὶ αὐτοῦ
Jer 16:8 Thou shalt not also go into the house of feasting, to sit with them to eat and to drink. Jer 16:8 Moreover you shall not go into a house of feasting to sit with them to eat and drink." Jer|16|8|εἰς οἰκίαν πότου οὐκ εἰσελεύσῃ συγκαθίσαι μετ᾽ αὐτῶν τοῦ φαγεῖν καὶ πιεῖν
Jer 16:9 For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place in your eyes, and in your days, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride. Jer 16:9 For thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel." Behold, I am going to eliminate from this place, before your eyes and in your time, the voice of rejoicing and the voice of gladness, the voice of the groom and the voice of the bride. Jer|16|9|διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος ὁ θεὸς Ισραηλ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ καταλύω ἐκ τοῦ τόπου τούτου ἐνώπιον τῶν ὀφθαλμῶν ὑμῶν καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ὑμῶν φωνὴν χαρᾶς καὶ φωνὴν εὐφροσύνης φωνὴν νυμφίου καὶ φωνὴν νύμφης
Jer 16:10 And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God? Jer 16:10 "Now when you tell this people all these words, they will say to you, 'For what reason has the Lord declared all this great calamity against us? And what is our iniquity, or what is our sin which we have committed against the Lord our God? ' Jer|16|10|καὶ ἔσται ὅταν ἀναγγείλῃς τῷ λαῷ τούτῳ ἅπαντα τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα καὶ εἴπωσιν πρὸς σέ διὰ τί ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐφ᾽ ἡμᾶς πάντα τὰ κακὰ ταῦτα τίς ἡ ἀδικία ἡμῶν καὶ τίς ἡ ἁμαρτία ἡμῶν ἣν ἡμάρτομεν ἔναντι κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν
Jer 16:11 Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law; Jer 16:11 Then you are to say to them, 'It is because your forefathers have forsaken Me, 'declares the Lord, 'and have followed other gods and served them and bowed down to them; but Me they have forsaken and have not kept My law. Jer|16|11|καὶ ἐρεῖς αὐτοῖς ἀνθ᾽ ὧν ἐγκατέλιπόν με οἱ πατέρες ὑμῶν λέγει κύριος καὶ ᾤχοντο ὀπίσω θεῶν ἀλλοτρίων καὶ ἐδούλευσαν αὐτοῖς καὶ προσεκύνησαν αὐτοῖς καὶ ἐμὲ ἐγκατέλιπον καὶ τὸν νόμον μου οὐκ ἐφυλάξαντο
Jer 16:12 And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me: Jer 16:12 You too have done evil, even more than your forefathers; for behold, you are each one walking according to the stubbornness of his own evil heart, without listening to Me. Jer|16|12|καὶ ὑμεῖς ἐπονηρεύσασθε ὑπὲρ τοὺς πατέρας ὑμῶν καὶ ἰδοὺ ὑμεῖς πορεύεσθε ἕκαστος ὀπίσω τῶν ἀρεστῶν τῆς καρδίας ὑμῶν τῆς πονηρᾶς τοῦ μὴ ὑπακούειν μου
Jer 16:13 Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not shew you favour. Jer 16:13 So I will hurl you out of this land into the land which you have not known, neither you nor your fathers; and there you will serve other gods day and night, for I will grant you no favor. 'God Will Restore Them Jer|16|13|καὶ ἀπορρίψω ὑμᾶς ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς ταύτης εἰς τὴν γῆν ἣν οὐκ ᾔδειτε ὑμεῖς καὶ οἱ πατέρες ὑμῶν καὶ δουλεύσετε ἐκεῖ θεοῖς ἑτέροις οἳ οὐ δώσουσιν ὑμῖν ἔλεος
Jer 16:14 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that it shall no more be said, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt; Jer 16:14 "Therefore behold, days are coming," declares the Lord,"when it will no longer be said, 'As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt, ' Jer|16|14|διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοὺ ἡμέραι ἔρχονται λέγει κύριος καὶ οὐκ ἐροῦσιν ἔτι ζῇ κύριος ὁ ἀναγαγὼν τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου
Jer 16:15 But, The LORD liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers. Jer 16:15 but, 'As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries where He had banished them. 'For I will restore them to their own land which I gave to their fathers. Jer|16|15|ἀλλά ζῇ κύριος ὃς ἀνήγαγεν τὸν οἶκον Ισραηλ ἀπὸ γῆς βορρᾶ καὶ ἀπὸ πασῶν τῶν χωρῶν οὗ ἐξώσθησαν ἐκεῖ καὶ ἀποκαταστήσω αὐτοὺς εἰς τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν ἣν ἔδωκα τοῖς πατράσιν αὐτῶν
Jer 16:16 Behold, I will send for many fishers, saith the LORD, and they shall fish them; and after will I send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the holes of the rocks. Jer 16:16 "Behold, I am going to send for many fishermen," declares the Lord,"and they will fish for them; and afterwards I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them from every mountain and every hill and from the clefts of the rocks. Jer|16|16|ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω τοὺς ἁλεεῖς τοὺς πολλούς λέγει κύριος καὶ ἁλιεύσουσιν αὐτούς καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα ἀποστελῶ τοὺς πολλοὺς θηρευτάς καὶ θηρεύσουσιν αὐτοὺς ἐπάνω παντὸς ὄρους καὶ ἐπάνω παντὸς βουνοῦ καὶ ἐκ τῶν τρυμαλιῶν τῶν πετρῶν
