Day - 344 - Phillipians 1-4
Phi 1:1 Paul and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons: Phi 1:1 Paul and Timothy, bond-servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are in Philippi, including the overseers and deacons: Phi|1|1|παῦλος καὶ τιμόθεος δοῦλοι χριστοῦ ἰησοῦ πᾶσιν τοῖς ἁγίοις ἐν χριστῶ ἰησοῦ τοῖς οὗσιν ἐν φιλίπποις σὺν ἐπισκόποις καὶ διακόνοις·
Phi 1:2 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. Phi 1:2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Phi 1:3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Phi 1:3 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, Phi|1|3|εὐχαριστῶ τῶ θεῶ μου ἐπὶ πάσῃ τῇ μνείᾳ ὑμῶν,
Phi 1:4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, Phi 1:4 always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all, Phi|1|4|πάντοτε ἐν πάσῃ δεήσει μου ὑπὲρ πάντων ὑμῶν μετὰ χαρᾶς τὴν δέησιν ποιούμενος,
Phi 1:5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Phi 1:5 in view of your participation in the gospel from the first day until now.
Phi 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Phi 1:6 For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
Phi 1:7 Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace. Phi 1:7 For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me.
Phi 1:8 For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ. Phi 1:8 For God is my witness, how I long for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus.
Phi 1:9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; Phi 1:9 And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, Phi|1|9|καὶ τοῦτο προσεύχομαι, ἵνα ἡ ἀγάπη ὑμῶν ἔτι μᾶλλον καὶ μᾶλλον περισσεύῃ ἐν ἐπιγνώσει καὶ πάσῃ αἰσθήσει,
Phi 1:10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ. Phi 1:10 so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; Phi|1|10|εἰς τὸ δοκιμάζειν ὑμᾶς τὰ διαφέροντα, ἵνα ἦτε εἰλικρινεῖς καὶ ἀπρόσκοποι εἰς ἡμέραν χριστοῦ,
Phi 1:11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God. Phi 1:11 having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
Phi 1:12 But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel; Phi 1:12 Now I want you to know, brethren, that my circumstances have turned out for the greater progress of the gospel, Phi|1|12|γινώσκειν δὲ ὑμᾶς βούλομαι, ἀδελφοί, ὅτι τὰ κατ᾽ ἐμὲ μᾶλλον εἰς προκοπὴν τοῦ εὐαγγελίου ἐλήλυθεν,
Phi 1:13 So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places; Phi 1:13 so that my imprisonment in the cause of Christ has become well known throughout the whole praetorian guard and to everyone else, Phi|1|13|ὥστε τοὺς δεσμούς μου φανεροὺς ἐν χριστῶ γενέσθαι ἐν ὅλῳ τῶ πραιτωρίῳ καὶ τοῖς λοιποῖς πάσιν,
Phi 1:14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. Phi 1:14 and that most of the brethren, trusting in the Lord because of my imprisonment, have far more courage to speak the word of God without fear.
Phi 1:15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: Phi 1:15 Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from good will; Phi|1|15|τινὲς μὲν καὶ διὰ φθόνον καὶ ἔριν, τινὲς δὲ καὶ δι᾽ εὐδοκίαν τὸν χριστὸν κηρύσσουσιν·
Phi 1:16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: Phi 1:16 the latter do it out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel; Phi|1|16|οἱ μὲν ἐξ ἀγάπης, εἰδότες ὅτι εἰς ἀπολογίαν τοῦ εὐαγγελίου κεῖμαι,
Phi 1:17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel. Phi 1:17 the former proclaim Christ out of selfish ambition rather than from pure motives, thinking to cause me distress in my imprisonment.
Phi 1:18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice. Phi 1:18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed; and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice, Phi|1|18|τί γάρ;
Phi 1:19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, Phi 1:19 for I know that this will turn out for my deliverance through your prayers and the provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, Phi|1|19|οἶδα γὰρ ὅτι τοῦτό μοι ἀποβήσεται εἰς σωτηρίαν διὰ τῆς ὑμῶν δεήσεως καὶ ἐπιχορηγίας τοῦ πνεύματος ἰησοῦ χριστοῦ,
Phi 1:20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death. Phi 1:20 according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.
Phi 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Phi 1:21 For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.
Phi 1:22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. Phi 1:22 But if I am to live on in the flesh, this will mean fruitful labor for me; and I do not know which to choose.
Phi 1:23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better: Phi 1:23 But I am hard-pressed from both directions, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, for that is very much better; Phi|1|23|συνέχομαι δὲ ἐκ τῶν δύο, τὴν ἐπιθυμίαν ἔχων εἰς τὸ ἀναλῦσαι καὶ σὺν χριστῶ εἶναι, πολλῶ [γὰρ] μᾶλλον κρεῖσσον·
Phi 1:24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. Phi 1:24 yet to remain on in the flesh is more necessary for your sake.
Phi 1:25 And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith; Phi 1:25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all for your progress and joy in the faith, Phi|1|25|καὶ τοῦτο πεποιθὼς οἶδα ὅτι μενῶ καὶ παραμενῶ πᾶσιν ὑμῖν εἰς τὴν ὑμῶν προκοπὴν καὶ χαρὰν τῆς πίστεως,
Phi 1:26 That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again. Phi 1:26 so that your proud confidence in me may abound in Christ Jesus through my coming to you again.
Phi 1:27 Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; Phi 1:27 Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel; Phi|1|27|μόνον ἀξίως τοῦ εὐαγγελίου τοῦ χριστοῦ πολιτεύεσθε, ἵνα εἴτε ἐλθὼν καὶ ἰδὼν ὑμᾶς εἴτε ἀπὼν ἀκούω τὰ περὶ ὑμῶν, ὅτι στήκετε ἐν ἑνὶ πνεύματι, μιᾷ ψυχῇ συναθλοῦντες τῇ πίστει τοῦ εὐαγγελίου,
Phi 1:28 And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God. Phi 1:28 in no way alarmed by your opponents"which is a sign of destruction for them, but of salvation for you, and that too, from God.
Phi 1:29 For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake; Phi 1:29 For to you it has been granted for Christ's sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, Phi|1|29|ὅτι ὑμῖν ἐχαρίσθη τὸ ὑπὲρ χριστοῦ, οὐ μόνον τὸ εἰς αὐτὸν πιστεύειν ἀλλὰ καὶ τὸ ὑπὲρ αὐτοῦ πάσχειν,
Phi 1:30 Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me. Phi 1:30 experiencing the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
Phi 2:1 If there be therefore any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any bowels and mercies, Phi 2:1 Therefore if there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, Phi|2|1|εἴ τις οὗν παράκλησις ἐν χριστῶ, εἴ τι παραμύθιον ἀγάπης, εἴ τις κοινωνία πνεύματος, εἴ τις σπλάγχνα καὶ οἰκτιρμοί,
Phi 2:2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind. Phi 2:2 make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.
Phi 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Phi 2:3 Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; Phi|2|3|μηδὲν κατ᾽ ἐριθείαν μηδὲ κατὰ κενοδοξίαν, ἀλλὰ τῇ ταπεινοφροσύνῃ ἀλλήλους ἡγούμενοι ὑπερέχοντας ἑαυτῶν,
Phi 2:4 Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Phi 2:4 do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.
Phi 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Phi 2:5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, Phi|2|5|τοῦτο φρονεῖτε ἐν ὑμῖν ὃ καὶ ἐν χριστῶ ἰησοῦ,
Phi 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: Phi 2:6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, Phi|2|6|ὃς ἐν μορφῇ θεοῦ ὑπάρχων οὐχ ἁρπαγμὸν ἡγήσατο τὸ εἶναι ἴσα θεῶ,
Phi 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Phi 2:7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men.
Phi 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Phi 2:8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Phi 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: Phi 2:9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, Phi|2|9|διὸ καὶ ὁ θεὸς αὐτὸν ὑπερύψωσεν καὶ ἐχαρίσατο αὐτῶ τὸ ὄνομα τὸ ὑπὲρ πᾶν ὄνομα,
Phi 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; Phi 2:10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, Phi|2|10|ἵνα ἐν τῶ ὀνόματι ἰησοῦ πᾶν γόνυ κάμψῃ ἐπουρανίων καὶ ἐπιγείων καὶ καταχθονίων,
Phi 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Phi 2:11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
Phi 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. Phi 2:12 So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; Phi|2|12|ὥστε, ἀγαπητοί μου, καθὼς πάντοτε ὑπηκούσατε, μὴ ὡς ἐν τῇ παρουσίᾳ μου μόνον ἀλλὰ νῦν πολλῶ μᾶλλον ἐν τῇ ἀπουσίᾳ μου, μετὰ φόβου καὶ τρόμου τὴν ἑαυτῶν σωτηρίαν κατεργάζεσθε·
Phi 2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure. Phi 2:13 for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
Phi 2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: Phi 2:14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing; Phi|2|14|πάντα ποιεῖτε χωρὶς γογγυσμῶν καὶ διαλογισμῶν,
Phi 2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Phi 2:15 so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world, Phi|2|15|ἵνα γένησθε ἄμεμπτοι καὶ ἀκέραιοι, τέκνα θεοῦ ἄμωμα μέσον γενεᾶς σκολιᾶς καὶ διεστραμμένης, ἐν οἷς φαίνεσθε ὡς φωστῆρες ἐν κόσμῳ,
Phi 2:16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. Phi 2:16 holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.
Phi 2:17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. Phi 2:17 But even if I am being poured out as a drink offering upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and share my joy with you all.
Phi 2:18 For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me. Phi 2:18 You too, I urge you, rejoice in the same way and share your joy with me.
Phi 2:19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. Phi 2:19 But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, so that I also may be encouraged when I learn of your condition.
Phi 2:20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. Phi 2:20 For I have no one else of kindred spirit who will genuinely be concerned for your welfare.
Phi 2:21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's. Phi 2:21 For they all seek after their own interests, not those of Christ Jesus.
Phi 2:22 But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel. Phi 2:22 But you know of his proven worth, that he served with me in the furtherance of the gospel like a child serving his father.
Phi 2:23 Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me. Phi 2:23 Therefore I hope to send him immediately, as soon as I see how things go with me; Phi|2|23|τοῦτον μὲν οὗν ἐλπίζω πέμψαι ὡς ἂν ἀφίδω τὰ περὶ ἐμὲ ἐξαυτῆς·
Phi 2:24 But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly. Phi 2:24 and I trust in the Lord that I myself also will be coming shortly.
Phi 2:25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. Phi 2:25 But I thought it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother and fellow worker and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger and minister to my need; Phi|2|25|ἀναγκαῖον δὲ ἡγησάμην ἐπαφρόδιτον τὸν ἀδελφὸν καὶ συνεργὸν καὶ συστρατιώτην μου, ὑμῶν δὲ ἀπόστολον καὶ λειτουργὸν τῆς χρείας μου, πέμψαι πρὸς ὑμᾶς,
Phi 2:26 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick. Phi 2:26 because he was longing for you all and was distressed because you had heard that he was sick.
Phi 2:27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. Phi 2:27 For indeed he was sick to the point of death, but God had mercy on him, and not on him only but also on me, so that I would not have sorrow upon sorrow.
Phi 2:28 I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful. Phi 2:28 Therefore I have sent him all the more eagerly so that when you see him again you may rejoice and I may be less concerned about you.
Phi 2:29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation: Phi 2:29 Receive him then in the Lord with all joy, and hold men like him in high regard; Phi|2|29|προσδέχεσθε οὗν αὐτὸν ἐν κυρίῳ μετὰ πάσης χαρᾶς, καὶ τοὺς τοιούτους ἐντίμους ἔχετε,
Phi 2:30 Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me. Phi 2:30 because he came close to death for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was deficient in your service to me.
Phi 3:1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe. Phi 3:1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things again is no trouble to me, and it is a safeguard for you.
Phi 3:2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. Phi 3:2 Beware of the dogs, beware of the evil workers, beware of the false circumcision; Phi|3|2|βλέπετε τοὺς κύνας, βλέπετε τοὺς κακοὺς ἐργάτας, βλέπετε τὴν κατατομήν.
Phi 3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. Phi 3:3 for we are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh, Phi|3|3|ἡμεῖς γάρ ἐσμεν ἡ περιτομή, οἱ πνεύματι θεοῦ λατρεύοντες καὶ καυχώμενοι ἐν χριστῶ ἰησοῦ καὶ οὐκ ἐν σαρκὶ πεποιθότες,
Phi 3:4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: Phi 3:4 although I myself might have confidence even in the flesh. If anyone else has a mind to put confidence in the flesh, I far more: Phi|3|4|καίπερ ἐγὼ ἔχων πεποίθησιν καὶ ἐν σαρκί.
Phi 3:5 Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee; Phi 3:5 circumcised the eighth day, of the nation of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; as to the Law, a Pharisee; Phi|3|5|περιτομῇ ὀκταήμερος, ἐκ γένους ἰσραήλ, φυλῆς βενιαμίν, ἑβραῖος ἐξ ἑβραίων, κατὰ νόμον φαρισαῖος,
Phi 3:6 Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. Phi 3:6 as to zeal, a persecutor of the church; as to the righteousness which is in the Law, found blameless.
Phi 3:7 But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Phi 3:7 But whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ.
Phi 3:8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, Phi 3:8 More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, Phi|3|8|ἀλλὰ μενοῦνγε καὶ ἡγοῦμαι πάντα ζημίαν εἶναι διὰ τὸ ὑπερέχον τῆς γνώσεως χριστοῦ ἰησοῦ τοῦ κυρίου μου, δι᾽ ὃν τὰ πάντα ἐζημιώθην, καὶ ἡγοῦμαι σκύβαλα ἵνα χριστὸν κερδήσω
Phi 3:9 And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: Phi 3:9 and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith, Phi|3|9|καὶ εὑρεθῶ ἐν αὐτῶ, μὴ ἔχων ἐμὴν δικαιοσύνην τὴν ἐκ νόμου ἀλλὰ τὴν διὰ πίστεως χριστοῦ, τὴν ἐκ θεοῦ δικαιοσύνην ἐπὶ τῇ πίστει,
Phi 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; Phi 3:10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death; Phi|3|10|τοῦ γνῶναι αὐτὸν καὶ τὴν δύναμιν τῆς ἀναστάσεως αὐτοῦ καὶ [τὴν] κοινωνίαν [τῶν] παθημάτων αὐτοῦ, συμμορφιζόμενος τῶ θανάτῳ αὐτοῦ,
Phi 3:11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Phi 3:11 in order that I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Phi 3:12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus. Phi 3:12 Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which also I was laid hold of by Christ Jesus.
Phi 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, Phi 3:13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, Phi|3|13|ἀδελφοί, ἐγὼ ἐμαυτὸν οὐ λογίζομαι κατειληφέναι· ἓν δέ, τὰ μὲν ὀπίσω ἐπιλανθανόμενος τοῖς δὲ ἔμπροσθεν ἐπεκτεινόμενος,
Phi 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Phi 3:14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Phi 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you. Phi 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you; Phi|3|15|ὅσοι οὗν τέλειοι, τοῦτο φρονῶμεν· καὶ εἴ τι ἑτέρως φρονεῖτε, καὶ τοῦτο ὁ θεὸς ὑμῖν ἀποκαλύψει·
Phi 3:16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing. Phi 3:16 however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.
Phi 3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample. Phi 3:17 Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us.
Phi 3:18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Phi 3:18 For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, Phi|3|18|πολλοὶ γὰρ περιπατοῦσιν οὓς πολλάκις ἔλεγον ὑμῖν, νῦν δὲ καὶ κλαίων λέγω, τοὺς ἐχθροὺς τοῦ σταυροῦ τοῦ χριστοῦ,
Phi 3:19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.) Phi 3:19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things.
Phi 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Phi 3:20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; Phi|3|20|ἡμῶν γὰρ τὸ πολίτευμα ἐν οὐρανοῖς ὑπάρχει, ἐξ οὖ καὶ σωτῆρα ἀπεκδεχόμεθα κύριον ἰησοῦν χριστόν,
Phi 3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Phi 3:21 who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.
Phi 4:1 Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. Phi 4:1 Therefore, my beloved brethren whom I long to see, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.
Phi 4:2 I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. Phi 4:2 I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to live in harmony in the Lord.
Phi 4:3 And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life. Phi 4:3 Indeed, true companion, I ask you also to help these women who have shared my struggle in the cause of the gospel, together with Clement also and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life.
Phi 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Phi 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!
Phi 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Phi 4:5 Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.
Phi 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Phi 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Phi 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Phi 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Phi 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Phi 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.
Phi 4:9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Phi 4:9 The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.
Phi 4:10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at the last your care of me hath flourished again; wherein ye were also careful, but ye lacked opportunity. Phi 4:10 But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned before, but you lacked opportunity.
Phi 4:11 Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. Phi 4:11 Not that I speak from want, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.
Phi 4:12 I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. Phi 4:12 I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need.
Phi 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. Phi 4:13 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.
Phi 4:14 Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction. Phi 4:14 Nevertheless, you have done well to share with me in my affliction.
Phi 4:15 Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. Phi 4:15 You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone; Phi|4|15|οἴδατε δὲ καὶ ὑμεῖς, φιλιππήσιοι, ὅτι ἐν ἀρχῇ τοῦ εὐαγγελίου, ὅτε ἐξῆλθον ἀπὸ μακεδονίας, οὐδεμία μοι ἐκκλησία ἐκοινώνησεν εἰς λόγον δόσεως καὶ λήμψεως εἰ μὴ ὑμεῖς μόνοι·
Phi 4:16 For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. Phi 4:16 for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs.
Phi 4:17 Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. Phi 4:17 Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account.
Phi 4:18 But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. Phi 4:18 But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.
Phi 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Phi 4:19 And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Phi 4:20 Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Phi 4:20 Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Phi 4:21 Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you. Phi 4:21 Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you.
Phi 4:22 All the saints salute you, chiefly they that are of Caesar's household. Phi 4:22 All the saints greet you, especially those of Caesar's household.
Phi 4:23 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. Phi 4:23 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
