From a4xnut@yahoo.com Thu Jan 13 22:40:31 2000 From: "Paul W." On another Jeep related list I'm on we were having a slow spot, so we started tossing around some "Jeep Trivia" questions. Here's the answer I supplied to the question, "Who can list all of the motors that have been used over the years in Jeeps?" (I just realized I missed one though... the 85 hp, 3 cylinder, 2-stroke, Cerlist diesel used in the M-676 thru M-679 series military FC's... anyone know the displacement?) Just thought I'd share it with all of you. - And Terry, feel free to use this to update your list as it is missing a few. > "M Baxter" wrote: > >Nice job paul, Next who can list all of the motors that have been > >used over the years in Jeeps? > > > I answered your question once, but I didn't see it come thru to the list... > (Please excuse me if it did and this is a double post - but even if it is, > this one has more info in it anyway :) > > I organized it into categories of 4, 6 & 8 cylinder and in the order of > introduction (in Jeeps anyway) in each category. > > **** Four Cylinders **** > > 134 (2.2L) Willys L-Head I4: The "Go Devil" 134 I4 engine was the only engine > used in the all production years of the Quad, MA, MB, M38, CJ-2A, CJ-3A, > DJ-3A.
