Renton's Chrysler dealer is taking over Jeeps (1 block away), but won't have any of the older stock stuff. (my part's guy is hoping to switch over since he's Jeep oriented) Now, I am looking for Jeep part # 33000169 which is the throttle position sensor for my '86 Comanche 4 cyl with TBI (mine cuts in and out at low RPM but comes back on when I move the gas pedal) I'm going to BC tomorrow AM and will grab one from the Arlington Jeep dealer on my way if no-one else has it. ($120! Ouch!) ************************************* JimBlair, Seattle,WA '84 J10, '86 Comanche http://homepages.go.com/~carnuck/carnuck.html ************************************** _____________________________________________________________________________________ Get more from the Web. In my case, after the car dropped on me, I was out for an undetermined amount of time, but then I found myself pinned with my head in the center tunnel. I could squeese my arms and chest to raise the car a little, but then it would settle back on me. I screamed over and over for my wife who was in the house attached to the garage. Luckily she heard me and decided it sounded a little more urgent than most of my yelling and came to investigate. Then, she raised the floor jack where it was at, but it was off it's intended spot, so didn't lift the car much. So I directed her to the xj jack which she couldn't figure out!(For some reason, she was frantic!) Then she got my 14 or 15 year old son to come out and help. They broke out the cars' scissors jack finally and between the two of them and the three jacks, they finally got the car raised enough for me to escape. While under the car, I was lying in a plastic sled to keep me off the concrete a little and unbeknownst to me, I was bleeding profusely from a head wound. The blood covered the bottom of the sled and soaked my clothes. Once out I skipped inside to a mirror, took one look at my head and took off for the hospital. I ended up getting a bunch of stitches and two black eyes. No other damage! I don't even remember suffering a blow to my head. I now have a small area in my eyebrow that doesn't have feeling, but I guess I can live with that. :) Jeff Aaron Storms wrote: > > That's a heck of a miracle story James! My Cherokee Dana44 has been in the garage the whole time since you found yours in the bush. I'm still trying to raise the cash to do it the way that I want. My friend just snapped an axle shaft on his '99 TJ with the Dana35C, Detroit, 4.56's and 33's. He is now going for a Super35 kit. The guy that is selling it to him told him that it would be stronger than a 44, which is why I was poking around the Randy's Ring & Pinion site. I wanted to try and compare axle shaft thickness between a Dana35C, the Super35 shaft, and a Dana44. Does anyone know which axle shafts are really thicker (or stronger) the Super35 or the 44's? Also, Bill, in your research, did you ever find out if the disk brakes off of a ZJ Dana44 would fit on a Cherokee 44? For anyone who has morbid curiosity, or a morbid sense of humour =) my friend should be soon posting the video where you hear his axle snap. You can clearly hear a guy in our club say "Was that a backfire, or did something break?". If not I can send it out, it's 6 megs. Darren K.
