I personally don't like the seats in the 94 zj laredo or 98 xj sport and think my old xj seats are much better. Is recovering an option? They could probably use some new cushioning too. I'm doing well here...thanks for asking! I'm currently working on converting the AC compressor into the heart of an on-board air system. :o) I've located a nice 4.5Gal air tank to use as well as 90% of the fittings and hose I need. I'm also working on a skidplate/crossmember for the underside...as well as some 3"x6" 1/4" box sube for new rocker panels. :o) I'm cutting the old ones out and fitting these in. Why not use these as air tanks? Hmmm...something about non-DOT rated pressure vessels doesn't really trip me the right way since speaking with a City of Seattle boiler inspector on the issue. I told him of my original plan to use the kosher air tank as part of the setup...and he told me to come get him when I'm all done. Now, I don't run a business or anything but he said he would check it out and certify it for me. Boy would that give me peace of mind! My Dad also talked to a State OSHA inspector who said the same thing. So rather than the coolness factor of using rocker panels as air tanks I think the coolness factor of having the on-board air City and State certified would be higher. ;o) LOL BTW, not sure if you knew yet...but I'm on 6" now with 33x12.50 BFG Muds... :o) Pics at: http://photos.yahoo.com/jeepxjer I also have to figure out a mirror solution since I keep smashing them on the trails. I'm up to three now...lol So anyhow, the sun here has been trying to peek out off and on between rain and some rain/snow mix. Some folks further up North have been getting what they call "snow" but I haven't seen anything yet that reminds me of North Dakota or Minnesota. *yawn* LOL I've yet to see anything that bad here... Moab? Next year, I promise! Wasn't financially able to plan it this year...even more so now that the company I work for didn't take enough taxes out for me. I owe this year for the first time...and we're not talking a few bucks. :o( Awe well...we'll make due for the time being, but with the possibility of a better job on the horizon I'm going to say I'll be at Moab next year. I'm actually planning a trip to the Rubicon before then... :o) Glad everything is going well for ya there Steve...glad you made it home! Have fun with the lift and Moab! :o) Phil M. - Kent, WA 95 XJ Sport w/Stuff "$*&t, there goes another mirror!" - -----Original Message----- From: owner-xj-at-digest.net [mailto:owner-xj-at-digest.net] On Behalf Of JEEPHEAD93-at-webtv.net That last post went to the wrong list-oh well. They also cost $325 ea I think... My 4-door xj seats are more adjustable and comfortable than my 2-door xj seats, but can't swap with others because of need the rear seat access which require them to fold down. I know about most of the aftermarket brands, such as Beard, Mastercraft (Rubicon is nice!) and Corbeau, but are there any junkyard donor rigs tha make ideal replacments? An empty street. No XJ! As you can well imagine I'm not a happy camper today. If any of you are in the Dallas area(I know most of you are not) please keep a look out. Here are the details if you might spot it: 1988 Red w/Chrome trim(Laredo) 4 door License # TRJ 69W The front stock bumper is pretty torn up. Huge black scrape on the rear hatch. No caps on rear stock bumper Pro Comp wheels and MT tires Inspection is two years over due Track bar ball joint is popping (new one is on order; good thing huh?) The police have filed a report but we all know how well they do in these situations. After work I'm going to look around the neighborhoods and see what I can see. The kicker is that it has started to snow this morning for only the second time this year while I was riding my bike to work. Fun Fun!
