When it rains it pours... (except of course here in the PNW where it mizzles, but that's a different story)... while waiting for my J10 to be restored I found a cheap Jeep XJ, nice rig actually, but it needs some TLC... and of course the natural course of taking care of TLC is to "improve" instead of repair... meaning lift, tires, and so on... I'm resisting the temptation however... ...because the '85 300CD is still there... now I'm waiting for my '76 280Z to get out of the shop so I can see what kind of trade in on the 300CD I'll get... and also to test drive the benz to see if it's worthy of ownership. Not sure which way to go... I'll probably keep whatever I end up with even after SuperDawg is done... whether it's the XJ or the Benz... would be cool to have an SJ, XJ and WJ... but the 300CD would give great fuel economy and a touch of class... ;) Suppose I should do the math on what it'll cost to get the XJ setup so it doesn't leave oil all over the place and wander all over... If I go over 60mph I experience the wobble o' death... john - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of xj-digest V1 #1530 *************************
