I'm giving some thought to selling my '87 Cherokee and getting a '97 or newer... I'd forgotten how nice the XJ's are. I'm figuring that SuperDawg is going to be a while longer and when he's done he'll be more of a show truck... anyway... I've got all the problems fixed on this thing, running great, 16mpg on 31's. Here's what I've added: - CD player - factory rear spoiler - brush guard - CIBIE fog lights - Amsoil Two Stage Air Filter - 3" lift - adjustable track bar - 31x10.5 Michelin LTXs It has 239,500 miles, but had the rear main seal replaced, front end aligned. It has a functional factory A/C, manual windows, no cruise, automatic, 3.55 gears, steel rims, good glass, cloth seats. It's simple, reliable and economical. Paint is in excellent condition as well. http://wagoneers.com/XJ/rigs/johns-87/3-cherokees-77-87-99.jpg4 http://wagoneers.com/XJ/rigs/johns-87/johns-87-xj-oct-16-2002.jpg - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 23 Nov 2002 21:19:02 -0800 From: john Subject: xj: Jeep parts - Pacific NW Just remembered we've got a T-18 out here too. So the list of Jeep parts is: - - '77 Cherokee 2dr, 8" of lift? (360 v8, th400/qt almost in...) - - axles from '77 Chero: Dana 44 3.54 (rear has Lock Rite Locker) - - T18 granny low 1st gear, flywheel for 360 - - TH400/QT - - inner fenders - - '78 fenders front - - '78 grille - - '79 grille - - tailgate glass (non-defrost) - - misc glass - - doors - - wide track front fenders (rough) - - parts from the '77 Cherokee... Also thinking of selling my '87 XJ Cherokee and getting a newer one with all the power options. 3" of lift, 31's... 16 mpg! Still have the '54 Chevy bed (half a pickup), waiting to see how the auction goes on the '76 280Z and the '62 Galaxie http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6233&item=1872886654&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6187&item=1872886971&rd=1 - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 23 Nov 2002 23:23:54 -0700 From: "Aaron Storms" Subject: xj: Re: Jeep parts - Pacific NW You're family yard must look like ours...:) Four xj's, the 69 Jeepster, the 93 z28, the 90 Camry, and a "new" FS 93 Blazer we're hoping we get via auction this coming Tuesday to replace the Cougar that blew up. I know it sounds like a lot, but almost all run and I have three daughters driving and Robin's commuter, then my daily winter and summer commuters and the OD wheeling beast. Justin's only 11, so we'll have to find something to build for him sometime down the line...:) Aaron - ----- Original Message ----- From: "john" To: Sent: Saturday, November 23, 2002 10:19 PM Subject: xj: Jeep parts - Pacific NW > Just remembered we've got a T-18 out here too. > > So the list of Jeep parts is: > > - '77 Cherokee 2dr, 8" of lift? We're planning on heading to Rapid City, SD from Seattle on Tuesday... stopping in Butte, MT both ways... coming back Fri or Sat... anyone out there care to share what the weather / road conditions are like? Any serious snow expected or out there? appreciate any suggestions for fuel (gas) or food along the way... taking the '99 WJ with Quadradrive... don't expect any problems, weather report looks good now, but the wife is a bit "nervous". She forgets how we drive up into the mountains for fun, and just head up a trail until we're pushing so much snow we can't go any further, then would take out the sleds and stuff, play, then turn around and drive home... I can't imagine I-90 getting enough snow to go up over the front bumper... ;) thanx, john-at-wagoneers.com (john-at-wagoneers.com) - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 24 Nov 2002 09:27:25 -0700 From: "Aaron Storms" Subject: xj: Re: I-90 conditions...
