My slectrac transfer case will not engage. The lever will not engage into gear, it feels like it has been streched. If you can help me diaginose the problem that would be greatly appreciated. It is a 1984 jeep xj wagoneer it has a 2.5 L, it is the slectrac 4 wheeldrive. Thank you. It sounds like you could have a vacuum related problem, front axle disconnect or the switch on the side of the NP229. Trace your vacuum lines... the linkage itself is mechanical on the XJ. john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** john-at-wagoneers.com via PINE on Linux ** (plain text please!) ** http://wagoneers.com ** ** http://freegift.net ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold. ...and remember, leaving life without Jesus just isn't recommended... - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 11 May 2003 21:05:20 -0700 From: john Subject: xj: Re: jeep Diesels At 10:42 PM 5/11/2003 +0200, Andreas Kreft wrote: >Am Mittwoch, 7.
