I have to head down to seattle to teach today, no time to help... I'm sure one of the guys on the xj list will help. :) john Ronald White Ronald White wrote: > John, > While changing an ignition swith on the lower column of my 1988 > Cherokee, I somehow managed to disengage the cable > in the column that runs from the column back to the shifter. > The ignition will not go back to accessorie even after removing the lock > set and disassembling the top of the column. I'm working on setting up a set of servers in seattle on a fat pipe... the owner wants to offer unlimited email accounts for $99/yr... his intent is to be able to email LARGE files... pictures, movies, etc... He's also got the equipment to convert the VHS tapes I have Jeep (XJ & FSJ) stuff to DVD and of course to web... since I'll have access to this we can put up some serious jeep video stuff that we've got. :) I'm not sure if I'll move my domain over or not yet... but if I do then I'll be able to offer both email and web space with the wagoneers.com domain... then the stickers will have some meaning. :) this issue came up a couple years ago and I had a few folks interested. Let me know off list if you're interested... and if you have any ideas on what I can do with my new toy(s)... :) My son is heading off to the air force 2nd week of February so I'm not going to do a great deal with this so I have some time with him. john - -- ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- * john-at-wagoneers.com * Snohomish, WA USA - http://wagoneers.com where Jeeps don't rust, they mold. ** trust Jesus ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- win, mac & linux: http://www.mozilla.org/ the new alternatives - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Jan 2004 15:39:44 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: xj: Re: power antenna replacing the antenna on an XJ isn't trivial... you have to pull part of the inner fender on the passenger side to get to it. You might check with a body shop as they wouldn't be afraid of the task and could probably do it in about 30 minutes... :) The hardest part I had was pulling the grommet through the fenderwell... :) so, check with a few body shops, the Maaco's would probably be the most reasonable. But I wouldn't recomment that you try it. :) john On Mon, 26 Jan 2004, Katherine wrote: >-->Hi John! >--> >-->Remember me? I'm the gal who bought the Cherokee from your son.
