I checked with a mechanic here are he said that it might be the trans lube... Cherokees apparently use a special lube and so I'm checking with the agency about that... I also get this strange whirring sound when I'm above 80 ... is this normal?? It sounds like when you cycling really hard and then you just let go of the pedals.... and you hear a wirrrrrrr sound???? Suggestions > Boney, My 96 AX-15 has the same issues. My gear guy suggests that this is normal, but he recommends using motor oil instead of the Gear Lube that is spec'd for the tranny. He believes that the tranny will shift easier, run more efficiently, and last longer using motor oil.
