Has anyone already installed ZJ disc brakes on their XJ's D35c rear axle and found any pitfalls? I have read various reports on the internet for this conversion on TJ D44 but none on the D35. - --- Vincent Bentley w: http://www.jeepclub.co.uk t: +44(0)7900 437975 e: vince-at-jeepclub.co.uk ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 04 Mar 2004 21:42:58 -0500 From: Jesse Barbieri Subject: xj: Re: ZJ disc brakes on XJ D35 I have heard you need to change the master cylinder. I am actually doing my own using GM rear callipers from a Lumina/Grand Prix. I expect it to be real sharp. I have a 1987 XJ with 4.0L auto trans. Here is the problem I am working on right now. When driving down the road (Hwy at 65 mph for this example) and start up a hill, I notice the gas pedal going all the way to the floor. The RPM's don't increase all that much. The motor has alot more to give, it is just the pedal travel seems to be the limiting factor. I notice the gas pedal is about half as high off the floor as the break when parked. Is there an adjustment to get more travel on the gas pedal? Thanks in advance for your help! David ------------------------------ End of xj-digest V1 #1796 *************************
