What I did was at the gas pedal end, there is a white, plastic grommet. If you lift the pedal up...toward the rear of the vehicle, you can see it lifts off the crimped end of the cable. I put a washer and sleeve on that end so the pedal sits a bit farther off the floor than before. Now I dont have to push as hard to get full throttle. Although, it sounds like you cable may be stretched quite a bit. But try this and see if it works. Mahalo Alan Chung 90 Cherokee Limited 4.6 Seattle, WA P.S. Was thinking about going down to see if I could find a manual seat driver side base for my '87... but didn't have wheels after church and ended getting a ride home with a friend... :) john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://wagoneers.com ** ** http://freegift.net ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 8 Mar 2004 21:56:48 -0000 From: "Vincent Bentley" Subject: xj: RE: RE: ZJ disc brakes on XJ D35 Thanks. Almost the same conversion, but not quite. I will be doing a ZJ D35 c-clip to XJ D35 c-clip and trying to keep the ABS functional. Although my XJ is driven off-road almost every week and has a many off-road specific modifications, it's still a family vehicle. I'm still interested in talking to someone that has already done the same conversion. - --- Vincent Bentley w: http://www.jeepclub.co.uk t: +44(0)7900 437975 e: vince-at-jeepclub.co.uk - -----Original Message----- From: owner-xj-at-digest.net [mailto:owner-xj-at-digest.net] On Behalf Of Darren K. I am actually doing my own using GM rear callipers from a Lumina/Grand Prix. I expect it to be real sharp. Has anyone already installed ZJ disc brakes on their XJ's D35c rear axle and found any pitfalls? I have read various reports on the internet for this conversion on TJ D44 but none on the D35. - --- Vincent Bentley w: http://www.jeepclub.co.uk t: +44(0)7900 437975 e: vince-at-jeepclub.co.uk ------------------------------ End of xj-digest V1 #1797 *************************
