I've got a set of 35's sitting in my drive, was going to bring them down and put them on Rambo... my '67 J100 Panel... I don't think my wife would appreciate it if I put them on her '87 XJ... My son ended up with an '82 300D Turbo Diesel I found so it looks like we'll be keeping the '87 XJ for a while longer, only 250,000 miles or so... mechanic friend was over and noticed that the fuel pump was making some noise... asked me the last time I changed the fuel filter... uh... hmmm... never? you mean I have to do something to this thing? ;) btw, couldn't really read the receipt... it's sideways... and kinda small... how much? later, john On Sat, 22 May 2004 jayers-at-pctcnet.net wrote: >--> Well, I finally went ahead and purchased a set of 35x12.5x15 MT-R's >-->and got them mounted on my 7" Grand Waggy rims. I might have to change the drive gear in the transfer case. The truck is now running 35's and 4.88 gears. In my opinion, it could use lower gears yet. I paid 162 or so per tire, but balancing, valve stems, road hazzard, tax, etc brought the total to 845 or so. I also got a 60 dollar mail in rebate that was unexpected. I think it works out to about 195 per tire all said and done! Man that's a lot of money! :~) Jeff john wrote: >looks pretty nice... what did you have to do to get >the speedo recalibrated? > >I've got a set of 35's sitting in my drive, was going >to bring them down and put them on Rambo... my '67 J100 Panel... > >I don't think my wife would appreciate it if I put them on her >'87 XJ... > >My son ended up with an '82 300D Turbo Diesel I found so >it looks like we'll be keeping the '87 XJ for a while longer, >only 250,000 miles or so... mechanic friend was over >and noticed that the fuel pump was making some noise... asked >me the last time I changed the fuel filter... uh... hmmm... >never? you mean I have to do something to this thing? ;) > >btw, couldn't really read the receipt... it's sideways... and >kinda small... how much? > >later, >john > >On Sat, 22 May 2004 jayers-at-pctcnet.net wrote: > > > >>--> Well, I finally went ahead and purchased a set of 35x12.5x15 MT-R's >>-->and got them mounted on my 7" Grand Waggy rims.
