I can't count how many times I've seen those trucks hit the highway and the friction lifted the box just enough for air to catch under it and then WHAM! it opens all the way, lifting the front tires off the ground like it's a drag chute and hopefully only scaring the driver! From: Gary Subject: Re: xj: Re: noise Thanks for the help. I found that the linkage wasn't right when I had it on the jack stands last weekend and the output rotated then. So now that it is in the correct position the tape confirmed that it doesn't rotate. Thanks again. But the noise is still there so now on to the next reason??? ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 11 Oct 2004 07:54:48 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: xj: OT - Diesel info I was wondering what other Diesel options were out there... I'm driving this '83 GMC Jimmy with a 6.2L and it's pretty economical and practical... I vaguely recall hearing that GM put Diesels in a Blazer, full size type in the '90's or so... is there any info out there on what models have them and where to find them? looking for something like a Blazer or Ramcharger or anything that is capable of carrying passengers and cargo... I know there aren't any Jeeps out there other then the '85-'87 XJs and they're scarcer than hen's teeth... thanx, john ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://wagoneers.com ** ** http://freegift.net ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of xj-digest V1 #1924 *************************
