I've got like three or four sets of lights laying around... :) I've got the Marchalls from the FSJ, a set of J-01 combo lights, a set of the driving lights, and another set of massive wattage driving lights... I like the IPF foglights, but not with the goofy little driving light setup, go with the plain foglights. there are some new style fog lights out there... visit a shop and look around... :) I've had several set of Bosch fog lights that I've liked. The elcheapos at McParts or from JcWhitney are useless... get a good set... You'll be fine with Bosch, Hella, IPF or some of the other quality lights... oh yeah, piaa. you can use the factory wiring w/o trouble, they have a relay in the system! I really like the wiring harnesses and switches that come from IPF. john >--> >-->Marc in NC >--> >--> >-->john wrote: >--> >--> -->So, what do I buy to convert my 123 to H-4 lighting? >--> >--> >--> http://www.wagoneers.com/JEEPS/IPF/IPF-ROUND-H4/ >-->http://www.wagoneers.com/JEEPS/IPF/H4-lamps/All-the-pix.html >-->http://www.wagoneers.com/JEEPS/IPF/H4-lamps/H4.html >--> >-->(old page, some of the images are missing... :) >-->http://www.wagoneers.com/JEEPS/IPF/IPF-replacement-ROUND.html >--> >-->john >--> >--> ---- >--> >-->------------------------------------------------------------------------- >--> ** http://wagoneers.com ** ** http://freegift.net ** >--> Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold. >-->------------------------------------------------------------------------- >--> >--> >--> >--> >--> >--> ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://wagoneers.com ** ** http://freegift.net ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 17 Nov 2004 22:29:55 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: Re: xj: Re: Re: New boots on the MJ Jeff... what are you sorry for??? (you might want to get on the XJ list, http://www.wagoneers.com/XJ/XJ-list.html for more info/ideas). however, the WJ rides better and has more room, and is more modern/sleek looking. off road the XJ is superior in stock trim to the WJ in stock trim mainly because of dimensions and visibility. The WJ with quadradrive has better 4wd setup, but that's easily fixed with aftermarket stuff on the XJ. I hope to build a Diesel powered XJ some day to use as a daily driver. The XJ is more nimble, easier to park and "just right". The WJ is a class act, a superb freeway cruiser, a lovely vehicle that I've done a lot of road trips in and loved it. Modifying an XJ is painless and affordable... modifying a WJ is harder to do because of the technology, cost, availability of parts and there's just something wrong with tearing up such a nice rig... ;) A slight lift on the WJ with bigger tires, brushguards and so on makes them look great, but if you want to get radical, get an XJ. I'm building up an SJ for daily driving that has a few mods too... http://wagoneers.com/SuperDawg using a lot of XJ components... engine/trans, wiring... xfr case out of an SJ... seats out of a WJ. :) I'm looking at using an airraid intake setup with an amsoil filter... if I can get a large enough cone setup... so many jeeps to choose from. :) did you see this new gladiator concept? http://www.wagoneers.com/FSJ/November17-2004/ 2.8L CRDiesel!!!! oh... it appears that tomorrow someone is making a donation to the monster garage north... a 300CD... it may end up on a GMC Jimmy chassis... or it could end up with a 4.0L Jeep engine and the TD would go into an XJ... so many parts, so many choices... :) john On Fri, 19 Nov 2004, scott blue wrote: >-->Thanks for the info and opinions. Now for the second part of the Questions. Would an XJ be a better choice? If it's an XJ this is my list of toys:an airaid induction system, header, cat-back exhaust, 4.5 inch lift, 32 inch BFG's re-geared for the lift and tires. That is just the start of things. There are so many thing you can get for the XJs. Almost as many things as a TJ or CJ. I want to start with a solid platform, before I get to many accesories on it. What do you guys think? My wheeling is like most guys, on the weekend and a lot during the hunting season. Which ever one gets built, it will be my daily driver. Yesterday I put new springs, up county, and a 2 inch lift on my WJ. I love it, I think it improved the look of the WJ 100%, wife doesn't like it but who cares what she thinks. >-->Scott >--> >--> >--> Discover all that^Rs new in My Yahoo! ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://wagoneers.com ** ** http://freegift.net ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold. - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ End of xj-digest V1 #1962 *************************
