My friend who bought the $100 waggy is looking for a cheap car as of yesterday. I think I told you but he blew the head gasket and a lifter is either really wedged in the block or welded itself to the cam. We're still trying to get that going but that's a long term project now, he needs something to drive. We need to know what year it is, what kind of condition it's in (besides minus a tailgate, how bad is the damage?), and any other details that are important. We'll pick it up this weekend if it's not too bad. ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 19 Apr 2005 15:27:00 -0700 From: "Jim Blair" Subject: Re: xj: Re: riddle me this A: Sunny and pushing 68 here with a slightly cool wind. We had a week of rain, major flooding, and now everything is completely dry. There are a couple flooded roads still but those roads are surrounded by swamps. We are supposed to get rain tomorrow which will be nice for the lawn and my garden. The temperature gauge in the car said it was 81 degrees on my way home. How is the weather in Washinton? You helped me out with the plastic dashboard piece for the cigarette lighter. Don't take silence to be a bad thing.. Silence is Golden !! No News is Good News !! Okay a question for the group... I am putting together a mutt lift for my 1993 XJ and wanted to bounce this off the group brain (fountain of knowledge). I have ZJ springs and new leafs which will give 3 inches. I have the spacers for the coils and blocks for the leafs to give another 1-1/2 to 2 inches. Just bought matched UCA's and LCA's for the front axle. I am almost there... My questions.. 1. Do I definately need a T/C drop for 4-1/2 to 5" ?? 2. How about brake hoses ?? I have heard to use YZ hoses... ?? 3. Adjustable control arm ?? Or re-drill the thru hole at the attach? Did I overlook anything? Thanks for your advice in advance....
