A: AW4 is 3.5" longer than 727/999 and T5. Add the 7/8" thick spacer and it's even more. If you used dual electric push fans in front of the rad, with 4.0L accessory setup otherwise, you MIGHT be able to make it work. Aside from that, move the trans mount and change driveshafts to match. (rear might not even need cutting if you lift high enough at the same time! ) my 4.0L is a '96. research indicated that the '95-'97 4.0's were among the best... hence the '96. I've even got the custom adapter to mate the NP219 with the AW4. It's possible to do the swap with the XFR case in stock position, no driveline mods... the AW4 is slightly longer so you may have ot move motor mounts and or the radiator. My view is it's a lot easier to move motor mounts and a rad support than pay someone to have my drivelines modified, especially considering that I have more problems measuring the needed dimensions to do that then fitting the driveline in place. ;) john ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 6 May 2005 13:25:02 -0400 (EDT) From: john Subject: xj: Re: fsj: Re: I love being a packrat... I'm going to use my 4.10s with the 6.2L Diesel and 700r4 as well... if it's revving too high I'll just have to get bigger tires. ;) with 2-3" spring lift and 2" body lift on a j10 that won't be a problem. john >--> >--> >-->From: john >-->Subject: xj: Re: fsj: I love being a packrat... >--> >-->I've got the 4.2L from Superdawg going into Rambo... >--> >-->The 4.0L I was going to use for SuperDawg is either >-->going to be sold or I'll find a nice clean late model >-->GW with a dead boat anchor and to the conversion on it... >--> >-->some one please buy this 4.0L from me. ;) >--> >-->john >--> ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 6 May 2005 14:33:21 -0400 From: "Don Hansen" Subject: xj: Re: Re: [db] Something for the Weekend - OT Haynes Manual Terminology It's how the British doctors, products of a socialized medicine system, remove those little brown spots on your skin...!!! - -Don - ----- Original Message ----- From: "john" To: "Stephen Rigley" Cc: "Renaud (Ron) Olgiati" ; "full size jeep list" ; "xj-list" ; "diesel-benz list" Sent: Friday, May 06, 2005 1:04 PM Subject: xj: Re: [db] Something for the Weekend - OT Haynes Manual Terminology > On Fri, 6 May 2005, Stephen Rigley wrote: > >>-->aka Visegrips >>-->Steve (also on the other side of the pond) > > ok, so what's the story? :) I can't imagine using > vice grips to catch a mole... they're fast little buggers... :) > > john > > ---- > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > ** http://JohnMeister.com **** http://wagoneers.com ** > Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold > ** http://freegift.net *** http://greatcom.org/laws/languages.html ** > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 6 May 2005 14:31:28 -0400 From: "Don Hansen" Subject: xj: Re: Re: fsj: I love being a packrat...
