A: I found a 12VDC diesel pump yesterday for a customer, but it's only 8PSI and not sure about the GPMs. It's a Carter pump in a NAPA box. From: john meister Subject: xj: today's adventures... WJ: finally got the brakes bled... what a difference. used the split rear fold down back seat to bring home a covered swing for the garden... XJ's: ordered a driver's side seatbelt for the '86, almost ready to drive, think we might take it to the airport to pickup my daughter when she returns from china - - hoping to swap injectors around on the '92 tomorrow. SJ's: moving parts around getting ready to expand carport, making room for superdawg, ended up getting stung by a wasp... DieselBenz - put the '79 300sd back up on craigslist at $1,200, would like it to go away to make room for the Jimmy... being out of town for a week and having my servers down complicates things a bit. ;) waiting to see if the J10 and Jimmy 6.2L setups with veggie oil will replace the '91 300d or not... the benz is such a nice car... but I'm not sure I can justify having the benz, the jimmy and the j10... and the wj... ;) Still need to order the 12v fuel transfer pump setup for the veggie oil. Thinking about the 12v Portable 10 GPM transfer pump from Northern Industrial, item 360-2519, it comes with hoses, etc., only $154.99. thoughts? The veggie oil is accumulating... have almost 100gals set aside now... need to filter it and start using it... the '83 Jimmy is getting a "new" tranny... Superdawg is getting worked on as well... I may try to filter 5 gallons of veggie oil and run it through the Benz again... last time one of the injector lines failed and then the return lines needed attention. :) ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 19 Jun 2005 11:34:13 -0700 From: john meister Subject: Re: xj: Happy Father's Day Jesse Barbieri wrote: >> Happy Father's Day from Copake, Ny thanx... got an interesting duct tape hallmark father's day card from my daughter who is in china... my son sent an update of his javelin project in AZ. In an effort to get the place empty so that we can put it up for sale, ALL of my Jeep stuff MUST GO (along with many tools...a sale for those will probably be posted soon). Here is what I have...some with prices, most BEST OFFER, YOU HAUL. - -two '88 Grand Wagoneers, with intact drivetrains. Misc. trim parts have been removed, and there is a fair amount of body surface rust, but they still make good part's rigs. Both have 360 V-8s. The front door parts are spoken for, the rest must go. I'm keeping the aluminum wheels though...I know someone who buys them. - -'89 YJ 4-cyl. frame in decent shape. Typical New England surface rust, but good overall condition. Engine still in it, no transmission. - -'89 YJ 4-cyl. axles, 4.10 gears, complete. Make an offer for the pair. - -'93 YJ frame, from a 4.0 YJ. No motor or transmission, but its still a rolling chassis in very good condition. Very minor surface rust just starting, only 26,000 documented original miles! Make offer for the whole assembly. - -Diesel YJ project. You get it all for parts or to make a trail rig. NO paperwork comes with this vehicle. You could complete it with some work (brakes, driveshafts, clutch hydraulic system, cooling hoses, misc. minor finishes needed) or use it for parts. Included, and installed, are: '92 YJ frame. '89? YJ body tub in fair shape, some dents but solid. CJ-7 hood and grill in poor shape, but very solid and usable for a trail rig. Volvo 6 cyl. turbo diesel, install the fuel tank and its ready to start right up with the turn of the key. Misc. wiring for gauges left to do. Brand new CJ-7 radiator, cost me around $150 alone. Early Scout T-18 (not granny low) with twin stick Dana 20. 8-bolt full width front Dana 44, full width J-20 Dana 60 in the back. 3.54? gears in the front, rear is empty ready for gears and a locker. Full roll cage and dash is intact. MAKE OFFER - -'73 Jeep J-truck. Part's rig, have title. AMC V-8, I believe is a 360. Early J-200 cab. T-18, Dana 20, front 44 and rear 5-bolt Dana 60. Wood bed. Cab is poor, but it has a fair amount of decent interior parts. Motor sounds like it just needs a tuneup to run. Truck is in overall poor shape but has some good parts. I was told it has 4.88 gears when I bought it, but I haven't checked for myself yet. - -'89 Jeep Comanche Eliminator. 4.0, 5-speed, full console with bucket seats. Red exterior, gray interior. Cab is in pretty good condition, bed is rusty. Replace the bed or fab up a custom body and run it. Needs a belt, coolant bottle installed (I'll even throw in a brand new one). 2-wheel drive but could easily be converted to 4x4 with bolt-in parts. I'd like $500 for the truck (I could easily get twice that out of it in parts). For $750 you would also get the truck shown below to use to convert it to 4x4: - -'89? Jeep Comanche 4x4. 4.0, AW-4, Dana 44 rear. Extensive rust, bad exhaust, poor overall shape. I started to part it out, so many small trim parts are gone, but it still starts right up and runs. I drove it 200 miles to get it home without any problems. Great parts truck. Make offer. - -XJ Dana 35 rear end. I think its missing 1 axle shaft, I need to check on the gearing. Free. - -70's Dodge Dana 44 full time 4x4 with XJ bolt pattern. Need to convert a front 44 to XJ bolt pattern? Use the outers from this axle. Free. '88 or '89 (need to check in daylight) XJ for parts. 4.0, 5-speed, 4x4. Kind of rusty, but it seems to run decent and I drove it around the yard. Needs some fairly minor stuff to put it on the road. Good trail project or part's rig. Make offer, QUICK- I'm planning on pulling the high ticket items off it tomorrow (ECU, other electronics, misc. other parts), then take the rest to the boneyard. Some misc. trim parts have been removed. All stuff located in northern N.H. If you have patience, I can get stuff to southern N.H. my next trip down there, including a whole vehicle. Speak up, make offers, come and get it! Jim ------------------------------ End of xj-digest V1 #2120 *************************
