The Hummer is really not an offroad vehicle on it's own meritt. The Hummer was designed so that it's wheel track is exactly the same width as an M1 tank. It was designed to *FOLLOW* behind the tank as the tank blazed a trail and knocked down small trees for the Hummer to follow. Therefore it's not very nimble and doesn't can not create a trail of it's own. The Jeep on the other hand was designed to be nimble and actually go around and between trees. It was a scout vehicle that went places before anyone else... So, in the Hummer's defence, there was no way it was going to make it up that hill...there was no M1 tank in front of it! ;-) Ed web/gadget guru john wrote: On Sat, 25 Nov 2006, Allen Zylstra wrote: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-2316222768844124610&pr=goog-sl >-->try that one. that worked, thanx! amazing... you'd think that H1 could have done better than that... driver???? the way the xj and yj went through there it didn't look all that hard... was waiting for the blazer to go through there... that '87 xj looks a lot like the '90 xj in my drive... http://wagoneers.com/fotos/johns-cars/90-xj.jpg it was my son's friends, my son bought it and he's keeping it here until he gets out of the air force... reminds me, I need to transfer it... might snow tonight. :) >-->John, you have probably been here: >-->http://messages.jeep2diesel.org/index.php >-->Someone there has a FSJ with a GM 6.5. >-->Allen nope... not yet. man, that site is slow... not sure I like digging through bbs & forums to find something... :) nice for a small community of friends, but inefficient for sharing real data...
