(pics included) A: More like "crack smoking" team. I told them personally Mark was a driver, not the manager or owner (Corporate "owns" the stores) I'm sending John the pictures I took (just happened to be going by on my way to traffic court and got some great pictures of a bad moment) He was on his way to work headed south on Rainier ave coming up to Sunset when he blacked out (Unknown medical issue, because AFAIK he doesn't drink/drug or even party) and hit the throttle coming around the corner. He crossed the median and the eastbound traffic on Sunset, hit the curb and large rocks protecting people in the parking lot from traffic accidents on that corner (very common) and narrowly missing a fire hydrant, he got airborne (talk about your Super Jeep!), nailing the delivery truck head on (kind of like a plane coming in for a landing) knocking it back 20 feet and clipping an Acura parked next to it (5 seconds earlier he would have crushed the people getting into it) He landed on his wheels, still at full throttle and nailed the building dead center between the major upright load carrying posts. They had the store closed for a bit, then partially open after the building inspector from the Fire dept said it wasn't going to fall down. Customers only came to the door and employees got the merchandise for them. (I was so amazed I forgot to take an inside picture of the mayhem inside) Fortunately the spot used to be the door for the commercial dept -at-8 years ago and it was just filled with cinderblocks. I found it hard to believe that the owner would be driving an '80s vintage XJ... ah yes, if you can't trust the media... just who can you trust? ;) john On Fri, 12 Jan 2007, Paul Masterson wrote: >-->Yes, the guy driving the Cherokee was obviously not the "owner" of the >-->store, as our crack reporting team put it.
