XJ gone, FSJ coming... A: I just sold the Dodge Ramcharger I bought and fixed. Next on the program is an '82 AMC Spirit I'm going to swap EFI into. Been kind of busy with the Ramcharger and helping Brian with his new-to-him '81 Wagoneer with 258/727/NP208. We overhauled the non-computer BBD carb last night (got a bit chilled, but it runs much better. Went from .5 on a scale of 1 - 10 up to 6.5 and once the vacuum leaks are dealt with it should go much better yet) On the Spirit, I'm thinking about making it a little MORE spirited! The FI will be one step, but I also plan on redoing the 999 (lockup) or a 727 (I just need a Dodge 2wd case for parts) and maybe putting a Dana 20 tcase behind it with an AMC Eagle front axle and XJ rear axle (SOA) to make it 4x4. Buuut that's a ways off. Just need to make it running and reliable for now so the wife's Subaru Legacy can go bye-bye (She liked the Spirit the minute she laid eyes on it. First question was "what is it and second question was will it get down the road to our cabin. ) On Mon, 15 Jan 2007, Edward Pomeroy wrote: >-->Real nice peice of iron you have there John, almost looks showroom new.
