Allen cool. that makes me feel better about this... thanx. parts look to be about $450 with shipping, haven't checked all my wholesale sources yet. paint will be about $200, will bring the fender and header to a shop, then assemble myself. If the paint is flawed I may repaint it the same color as my WJ, which will also be the same color as my J10. :) Interior can be cleaned for a bit less, but about right for a pro job. well, need to get some work done on Omega... john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 24 Feb 2007 10:20:50 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: xj: bumpers for a 2001 XJ limited? If this '01 xj limited I'm thinking about works out, will replace the stock bumper with a nice Bull Bar or replacement unit complete with grille guard. I googled on bumpers a while back, but forgot which of the 7 computers I use it was on. :) I've had the Aussie Bull bar before on an XJ and liked it. Looks like about $600 to a grand for a decent one. Will go with a 2-3" lift as well. Just for a nicer stance and look, and a bit more clearance... ********************* GOT LINKS TO BUMPERS? ********************* thanx, john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 25 Feb 2007 00:22:31 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: xj: picture format for ebay? A quality professional paint job to fix that would be about $800 including the prep. Plus labor to pull the radiator or fender supports $400, and the the cost of parts about $450. That is $1650 so $2000 is about right. I don't have any rubbing problems except at full lock on the LCAs. The is a set of up country springs on ebay and I am also thinking of getting Rusty's 2" BB w/shocks. Does anyone have these shocks and can comment on them? The stock shocks are done so I would think that anything is and improvement. The springs and BB should give me about 3" total lift.
