J10 hydraulic dump trailer... well there you go, whatever its worth to whoever will buy it.. i imagine your lack of responses here is either due to easter break, or that there is truely nobody on the list that would have a use for one of those.. therefore they'd never really know what its worth (nor would they care, I suppose) I find it to be cute, but I can't really think of any use for the thing, unless I hauled gravel/concrete/dirt/etc. farmboy? not me. i'd bet you'd find more people interested if it had a lift as opposed to a dump mechanism, a trailer with a lift can be very nice. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 6 Apr 2007 20:06:26 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: Re: xj: value??? I'd roll said object onto the sled, then winch it up onto the bed, then tilt down and continue forward. :) never got there... will do something like that on the flatbed. I suppose the $3k someone mentioned will be a reasonable price to ask... a landscaper would really like this thing... :) john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Apr 2007 00:39:12 -0700 (PDT) From: john Subject: xj: WJ 4.7L V8 tune up just finished changing the oil and changing the plugs on the '99 WJ 4.7L V8... other than #8, the process to change plugs is pretty painless... http://wagoneers.com/WJ/tech/WJ-4.7-tune-6april07-Laredo-Door-stop/ The 4.7L V8 is an amazing engine... look at the gap on the old plugs, which may be the ORIGINAL plugs... the WJ has 140,000 miles on it, the electrode is almost gone of some of the plugs. Changed out the door stop... amazed at how easy the linkages and connectors come off the inside of the door panel... the more I work on a WJ the more I like them... this may be the best overall Jeep... at least for work and reliability, the XJ is still more nimble and has better visibility, but the WJ is much nicer overall. Heading to South Dakota tomorrow... was just prepping the WJ for the trip east on I-90. mother in law is not doing well... later, john ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Apr 2007 09:58:45 -0700 From: Kevin Subject: xj: belts and water pump? Since I ended up with my second XJ, John suggested I sign up. My other jeeps are all full sizes. Both XJs are two doors, one is an 89 with a five speed, the other is a 93 with automatic and 4.5" rubicon express lift (amongst other things). The question is about the 93. I tried getting the belt off last night to try to replace the water pump, which seemed to be the source of my water leak. No amount of turning the bolt under the power steering pump that appeared to be the tensioner got the power steering pump to budge. Am I missing something? I tried loosening the other bolts on the power steering pump bracket and had no luck. Yeah, I know, rookie question and I should know better :) Truck has 178k on the clock now, and is not a california truck. Thanks... So was the injector o-rings that leak and catch the car on fire. Wasn't it renault who made a car called a fuego? Truth in advertising :) Actually, the renix setup on the 89 was fairly reliable. About the only thing I don't like on it is the ridiculously long crank to start. The 93 with HO seems like normal.
