Especially since the aftermarket now sells to dealers and they just repackage parts (they did that a lot at different dealerships I have been to, but only on older rigs and they do MAJOR markup!) From: john Subject: Re: xj: Rattling and Rumble -KABOOM- only had to a few of these over the years... check with the jeep dealer on parts costs... seems to me it was around $75 or so... recommend getting the dealer part instead of aftermarket. john _________________________________________________________________ Mortgage refinance is Hot. *Terms. I found out there are 2 different ones (NAPA carries the shorter of the two) Re: dual Vee belt PS pulley Posted by: "John Coleman" johncoleman2004-at-yahoo.com johncoleman2004 Date: Tue Apr 17, 2007 3:13 pm ((PDT)) Thank you sir! When I put a hydraulic winch on my FSJ a few years ago, I couldn't find a double pulley that had the sheeves the same size. They were all on big and one small. I made a working pulley by welding parts together, but I've never been happy with it, though it works well. I will be hitting the local NAPA store for the replacement. - -JC http://im.live.com/messenger/im/home/?source=TAGHM_APR07 ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2007 08:34:56 -0700 From: "Jim Blair" Subject: xj: My current eBay Daily Selling Status Items I'm selling (6 items) - ----------------------------------------------------------------- Item title: 6 New Mopar pistons 30 over Dodge Plymouth Chrysler HEY Item URL: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180107962017 Current price/bids: $50.00(0 Bids) Buy It Now price: $150.00 No of watches: 0 End time: Apr-24-07 00:17:37 PDT Item title: Full size Bronco 351 steering box with pump #27-7516 Item URL: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180107963870 Current price/bids: $25.00(0 Bids) Buy It Now price: $100.00 No of watches: 0 End time: Apr-24-07 00:34:11 PDT Item title: Mopar truck big block/hemi bellhousing and flywheels Item URL: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180107968958 Current price/bids: $50.00(0 Bids) No of watches: 1 End time: Apr-24-07 01:10:31 PDT Item title: AMC Jeep 2.5L hydraulic external slave bellhousing AX-5 Item URL: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180108317534 Current price/bids: $10.00(0 Bids) No of watches: 0 End time: Apr-24-07 23:09:03 PDT Item title: Ford NP208F 31 spline transfercase with fixed outputs Item URL: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180108319330 Current price/bids: $50.00(0 Bids) No of watches: 0 End time: Apr-24-07 23:25:16 PDT Item title: Chev 27 spline input NP208C for parts slip yoke output Item URL: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180108319764 Current price/bids: $50.00(0 Bids) No of watches: 0 End time: Apr-24-07 23:28:58 PDT _________________________________________________________________ Interest Rates Fall Again! $430,000 Mortgage for $1,399/mo - Calculate new payment http://www.lowermybills.com/lre/index.jsp?sourceid=lmb-9632-18679&moid=7581 ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 18 Apr 2007 12:36:18 -0500 From: "Allen Zylstra" Subject: RE: xj: My current eBay Daily Selling Status I would post my status, but most here would not be interested in what I sell. It only took about an hour to replace. Some of that was the removal and replacement of the serpentine belt. You need a puller and the right length bolts. Not much room to work down there. But it was much less traumatic that I had expected. I cant imagine how your sisters could have cost $2K.
