I would think that a white grease or the stuff they use for new cams would be better (for an engine). as far as the transmissions... I don't know... I have an AW4 available. :) yes, the '99 WJ is a great vehicle... especially with the 4.7L V8, not an economy car, but a great road car, good tow rig and does a fine job off road as well. I only wish that the Diesel option would have been available in the US in the WJ... I don't think the WK is in the same league as the WJ... I think I would prefer a ZJ over a WK at this point... hard to say... the Diesel engine might win me over despite the independent front end.... and less visibility. oh, btw, Jim, what is the "Right Stuff"???? is that a brand name or an obscure reference to some product that only is sold by the blue oval? :) john >--> >-->----- Original Message ----- >-->From: "Jim Blair" >-->To: >-->Sent: Monday, May 21, 2007 2:12 AM >-->Subject: Re: xj: tranny pan leak >--> >--> >-->> A: I use the "Right Stuff" Waaay better than silicone. The next step will be dealing with getting my money back from the stealership in Mexico that did all the crackhead work to start with. Thanks all, I'll let you know how things work out.
