I have a short somewhere in the ignition that allows the starter to engage when the ignition switch is turned on. I'm trying to understand this, I really don't want a push button switch but at this point throwing more money into this thing isn't cost effective. I'm not convinced that NAPA is the quality place it once was, but it's safer than a McParts outfit... (they're not infallible,... the Sender Units aren't exactly precision items!) ;-) secondly, on some years (i think including yours) there are not one, but 2 separate Temp Sender Units; one for the gauge, and one for the PCM to read what's going on.
