Whenever I ask about something like your carport upgrades or pics of Superdawg's body coming off it doesn't take long to find them. This feature is good. THANX... # Some of your picture pages are too large to load all the pictures on my system. So I'll get half a page of x-ed out pics. I have gone into the index and loaded the pics individually if there was some detail I was looking for. Less pics on a page might work better for my system. I am running a middle of the road DSL modem (I think this is my bottle-neck) and I am running 2 GB of ram (an upgrade...had only .5GB) and a 3.46 gHz Intel Celeron processor. I am running Firefox with Windows. I like the resolution of the pics (I know you have been running high end digital cameras for better than a decade) so that I can zoom in on some little detail on pic. I have lately been creating an "ALL.html" file, and using a README.html file, avoiding locked in index.html files... # # I like the idea of cleaning up some of the visual clutter/fluff. It was being driven daily and as you can see from the pictures, it's in superb condition for having 212,000 miles (have owned 12 xjs, all but 3 have had over 200k!) http://wagoneers.com/tmp/XJ/ALL.html the rear wiper, power sunroof, power seats, windows and locks ALL work... has a cracked windshield... no battery, no stereo... all for 4c notes. The plan is to get the XJ running, in the parking lot, in the rain, 50 miles from the house. Then drive it home... If I like it, may proceed to the REAL popcorn event, in that I may attempt to SWAP the entire drive train between the CJ-10A and the XJ. Provided they are about the same size... Does anyone know if an SD33T is about the same height/length as a Jeep 4.0/4.2 engine? The big question is whether or not it'll clear the hood height-wise and if it'll fit in the engine bay and still have a fan. Of course, if SUPERDAWG is put back together before I can begin this Snohomish Monster Carport project, I'll just fix up the XJ and sell it to help pay for the wedding that happened in August... - -- ----- - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://freegift.com ** http://wagoneers.com ** - ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 Nov 2009 12:30:32 +0000 From: allenzylstra-at-hotmail.com Subject: Re: xj: Diesel + Jeep = popcorn adventure I better stop for more popcorn on the way home. - ------Original Message------ From: john Sender: owner-xj-at-digest.net To: undisclosed-recipients:; ReplyTo: xj-at-digest.net Subject: xj: Diesel + Jeep = popcorn adventure Sent: Nov 5, 2009 12:34 AM Alternate title: Or, why I should not be left unsupervised with an internet connection. I hate swapping sensors on the side of the road... I'd bring a set of fuel pressure gauges as well, the fuel pump could absolutely do that. I'd have to look under the hood of the black jeep to see if it has an autoshutdown relay that kills the fuel pump, like the HO ones do.
