The XJ still has a few issues, but it drove from South Tacoma to Snohomish under it's own power... speaking of power, the power seats don't have it... and the ABS light comes on every now and then... this thing had enough pine needles to start its own forest... I washed and scrubbed and there are still pine needles in nooks and crannies... starts right up... engine sounds great, tranny shifts well... need to go through the ABS stuff, power to the seats and fix the driver's side power window switch... replacing the tires with the Blizzaks on it from the tug... Superdawg has a new set of Michelin AT's already so I don't need 'em. Tabs are even good until April... oh yes, and ZERO rust, as expected. thanx Dave for piloting this thing home... picked up carpet shampoo and febreez, sprayed the interior with febreez... not sure why people feel the need to use air freshners.. man, those things reek. The febreez I picked up has a scent too... arggghhhhh... john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 7 Nov 2009 23:16:28 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: xj: Re: '89 xj - made it home see, that's the problem, still don't know what a CDI is, doesn't show up in the manuals here mate... remember reading about them in the early 70's when we started moving away from points... anyway, the coil was replaced, the Jeep started... :) john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Sun, 8 Nov 2009, Terry Halmshaw wrote: # Guess???
