I would think the mechanical portion would be pretty straight forward but have little idea what would be involved in the electronics between the two vehicles. I'd have an informal chat with a parts and a service manager at your local, or several, jeep dealers... john ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Thu, 3 Dec 2009, Andeanfx wrote: # How crazy would it be and what would be involved in swapping a WK diesel into # a XJ (Commander)? # # I would think the mechanical portion would be pretty straight forward but # have little idea what would be involved in the electronics between the two # vehicles. # # Thanks Dean # # ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Dec 2009 14:56:49 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: xj: OT: automotive history... http://comics.com/henry_payne/2009-12-04/ ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 4 Dec 2009 15:15:34 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: xj: Re: fsj: Re: the reason I don't make my own... too funny... the ignorance of the general public, and especially the media is overwheling at times... ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ On Fri, 4 Dec 2009, Diana Eichert wrote: # so, I had to chuckle. something similar kept me from getting home # one evening back in 2004. # # http://alibi.com/index.php?story=8501&scn=news # # The fire happened ~ 1/2 mile from my home, fortunately the wind was # blowing the opposite direction. 64 acres of cottonwoods, elms and # russian olives burned, air quality was awful for days. # # The sad thing was the fire happened the day before Pres Bush # came to a campaign fund raiser for one of our congress members # running for re-election.
