These things are riveted in, oh boy, fun times ahead on this one... *** ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET A POWER WINDOW UP MANUALLY? *** ANY GOOD SOURCES? replaced the driver's side mirror glass, pretty straight forward stick on, hope it stays stuck. TIRES- found out why I wasn't getting traction on wet roads, tires have PLENTY of tread, tire pressure was over 40 PSI... hard to get traction that way... :) title- maybe tomorrow... yesterday the license place was backed up out the door... we had number 60, they were serving 12 with a few minutes to closing... next is the stereo, maybe an alarm, then off to the sunroof/headliner shop. maybe I'll get a glass shop to fix the regulator, tune up the sunroof and reglue the headliner... otherwise running good... tracks straight... nice little jeep... - --------------------------------------- '91 300D: not sure what the problem was, wouldn't start earlier today... but I got it running again, added a couple of gallons of fuel and it was able to start, BUT the fuel reserve light never came on, needle was off of E and it had been running great... suspect it might be an issue with bioDiesel contamination in the tank, my filters were pretty crummy last change out... so, I think we're ok on the benz. added some Amsoil Diesel Concentrate Additive... have filters in the trunk... added 7 gallons and the needle is showing 1/2, so there must have been fuel in there... (20 gal tank) heading off to a station in everett tomorrow... 2.69 or so for Diesel... vs. 3.00 something - --------------------------------------- '00 WJ: had the grand cherokee laredo towed on a tiltbed to jim startups... he'll finish the 4.0 install and make sure it's all proper and right, then it'll go up for sale as planned... or it might be pressed into service, who knows... - --------------------------------------- '99 WJ: so far, no problems, running well, but still could use a heater core... - --------------------------------------- '83 J10 stepside: no idea... no calls, no email... need it now more than ever. - --------------------------------------- in the meantime, considering a couple Diesel pickups... hoping to hear on mine first... found an '86 ranger with a TD and 5 speed, but no a/c, and an '86 f250 6.9 w/ats turbo, at, ac, 4x4... looks ok... but what will it get? 13-16 mpg in town? and it's just too big... really need my J10. Trying to avoid buying anything else right now... but I need something to work. :) Pretty amazing... was down to one vehicle today... wow. ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 5 Jan 2010 22:28:39 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: xj: power window regulators any good sources for a driver's side power window regulator for an '89 Cherokee? ----- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Snohomish, Washington -o|||||o- where Jeeps don't rust, they mold http://AMSOIL.com/redirect.cgi?zo=283461 http://creationwiki.org http://johnmeister.com http://wagoneers.com http://fotomeister.us - ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------ End of xj-digest V1 #3136 *************************
