I might have been able to get the two nuts off without dropping the hitch, but it was just at a wrong angle and none of my wobblies would tolerate the torque needed to get it off... on the Jetta Wagon I installed a hitch so I can drag the recycling bin up and down the drive, use the bicycle carrier, rear carrier and have a step... :) Here's pictures from Saturday, hummingbird shots: http://fotomeister.us/2012/02-Feb-04-hummingbird-XJ-TDI-sunnyday/ALL.html and from today - went down to the River then drove around the valley. http://fotomeister.us/2012/02-Feb-05-SnohomishRiver-Cascades/ALL.html as far as the decision, we drove both Jettas today... Likely not. The internet is wrong about being able to get that plastic cover off from the inside enough to open it. Just those two nuts holding that thing in... If yo ever lock yourself out of your xj, no need to break glass. :) My daughter and son in law want to sell that for 2k. How much is the kit to mate a tdi to the aw4 again? :) Serious.... I have two tdi jettas. Would consider it, maybe... ;) __john_at_http://wagoneers.com__ - -----Original Message----- From: Jim Blair Sender: owner-xj-at-digest.net Date: Mon, 6 Feb 2012 09:03:30 To: ; ; Reply-To: xj-at-digest.netSubject: xj: RE: fsj: sunny weekend - cut up knuckles Too bad it's so new.
