Hello, I have an '89 Cherokee Laredo with the 4.0. I've been exploring better cooling myself. I like the 2nd and 3rd options... but I'm still trying to figure out the existing issues.... Runs cooler than normal in winter, hot in the summer. I have replaced the thermostat several times and found a couple that were jammed wide open. I have replaced the radiator, 2 core, and water pump. I actually converted to a '92 setup with the "real" radiator. The system has been burped several times. New coolant hoses and the "spring" is in the lower one. I do have a better, high flow, water pump that I can install but I'm not sure that will help. Has anyone used one? I've heard that the water can flow too fast. Do you typically remove the insulation from under the hood?
