From: Frank Stanczyc Hi John, I just bought an '88 Wagoneer limited last weekend and was wondering if I could get some information from you... This is the first Jeep I've owned and not really sure what to expect. Half the people I talk to hate Jeeps the other half love them... I've had this one for a week now and am quickly leaning towards the loving it side... I paid $1900 for it, I'm not sure if that's a good price but it seemed to fill the bill of what I needed... I was looking for something to do mild off-roading (I have an '81 F150 4X4 that I do my heavy off-roading in), and something big enough to fit the family in to go camping... My truck gets about 7 MPG and only seats 3 so it kind of limits the family camping... The Jeep has 305,000 miles on it and 98,000 on a new engine, I replaced the shocks and brakes when I first got it which helped the ride a little but it's still too soft for my liking... Is your ride stiff??? I think I might have to replace my rear springs... I would also like to put 235 75 R15s under it but the owners manual says 205s and it has 215s now which almost look like they would rub the fenders... Did you have to lift yours to put 235s under it??? Any info you can send me would be greatly appreciated, stuff like reliability of the transmission, transfer case, and engine, gas mileage or any thing else you can think of... Thanks, Frank Stanczyc [Part 2, Image/JPEG 103KB] [Unable to print this part]
