COMPANY NEWS; Chrysler May End Grand Wagoneers AP Published: February 7, 1991 The Chrysler Corporation may stop producing luxury Jeep Grand Wagoneers next year because declining sales have made it unprofitable to continue building the $29,000 vehicle. Chrysler sold 334 Grand Wagoneers in December, less than half the 776 sold in December 1989. Jerry Huber, manager for Chrysler's two Toledo Jeep plants, said he believed production would stop in the fall of 1992. About 350 workers build Grand Wagoneers at the Stickney Avenue plant in north Toledo. More than 4,400 workers make Jeep Cherokees at the North Cove Boulevard plant here.
