If it's still hot, maybe that 18deg timing causes it to run hot. Otherwise thermostat, fan clutch come to mind. Maybe the motor's been rebuilt and bored over at some time. It's one of the better assemblies AFAIK. It shares most parts with the XJ's. Meet at Mitzel's Restaurant, 303 128th Street SW, located between Lynnwood and Everett, Washington. Take I-5, exit #186, go west on 128th Street and the restaurant is just up the street on the right hand side. Plan to leave the parking lot at 9:00 AM. >From the restaurant we will drive to the Mukilteo Lighthouse where we will be given a guided tour of the operating light and museum. The caretakers of the 1905 lighthouse are opening the facility especially for us as it is closed to the public for the season. After the lighthouse we will follow the Everett waterfront, cross the Snohomish River to Marysville on the old steel bridge and take Marine Drive to points not even I know about at this time. Our short, surprise drive will take us to Arlington for lunch and another tour arranged especially for our group. Jim Bernethy, one of our fellow Backroad Drivers Northwest subscribers along with his wife Kerry, has arranged to show us the Arlington Air Station Museum where we will see some of history's most famous aircraft. Jim donates much of his private time working on the planes, so he can give us first hand information. >From Arlington we will drive county backroads to the town of Snohomish. We will visit Classic Auto World, a consignment antique car dealership, and finish the day with antique/junque shopping at the many and varied shops and malls in downtown Snohomish. Let's keep our fingers crossed for good weather and we hope to see you there.
