I am not the type to keep stuff but I know there are some who are :) I have an original digital display auto reverse cassette deck from an 85 grand wagoneer. the original owner gave it to me when I bought the waggie. he said it worked (his daughters replaced it with a clarion cd player about a month before I bought it) he said he had it repaired under warranty in 1986...that is so funny to me... anyway its got the burgandy face plate that matches the interior for that year. the correct knobs, a;; four. even the wiring clips. free to a good home. you have to pay for shipping. i am in denver co and i prefer to send it usps...80203 its going in the trash on wednesday...just wanted to see if anyone wanted it before i tossed it.. thanks dan ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 24 Feb 2002 19:06:38 -0800 From: john Subject: fsj: twin stick for a Dana 20? the '77 Cherokee's 4wd lever isn't working... wondering if there is some way of converting it to twin stick... cc me, in digest mode... thanx, john - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 24 Feb 2002 20:52:01 -0800 From: "Jim B" Subject: fsj: Help! '72 J4000 axle question This is a 5 bolt wheel axle, but is it a D53 or D60? I found one with 4.09 gears (cheap!) and since it's not full floating, I'm considering getting custom axles with the 6 bolt pattern made to work with the Chev 2 1/2" rear brakes. What spline count is it? (and my J10 M20 is?) I don't suppose the 4.10 D44 gears I have coming would fit it? (had to ask, though I figure they don't) What about axle width? Compared to my '84 J10 M20. _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 25 Feb 2002 09:28:48 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: fsj: Re: [FSJ-List] twin stick for a Dana 20? thanx! john On Mon, 25 Feb 2002, Lonnie & Renee' Elliott wrote: >-->Get the shifters out of a '67 or so IH Scout. same case as yours but cool >-->dual sticks from the factory. >-->Lon 81 WT >-->----- Original Message ----- >-->From: "john" >-->To: >-->Sent: Sunday, February 24, 2002 9:06 PM >-->Subject: [FSJ-List] twin stick for a Dana 20? >--> >--> >-->> the '77 Cherokee's 4wd lever isn't working... wondering if >-->> there is some way of converting it to twin stick... >--> >--> >--> ---- - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ** john-at-wagoneers.com via PINE on Linux ** (plain text please!) ** http://wagoneers.com ** ** http://freegift.net ** Snohomish, Washington USA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold. ...and remember, leaving life without Jesus just isn't recommended... - ------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 25 Feb 2002 10:11:27 -0800 (PST) From: john Subject: fsj: Quadratrac The NP219 is called the Quadratrac, uses a differentiated means of providing fulltime 4x4, it does have an emergency lockup. It's better than the NP229 Selectrac because it does offer the lock mode in 4x4 high. The NP228/229 does not, only in low range. The Quadratrac concept lives on. Sure it started in 1973 with the Borg Warner 1339, and morphed into the New Process NP219 in 80 through 82, but it's back in the ZJ model Grand Cherokee, not sure of the year or designator, still as Quadratrac (and they also use Selectrac for the NP242 and Command Trac for the NP231) In '99 when they launced the Grand Cherokee WJ, they incorporated the gerotor technology in the axles and xfr case and call it Quadratrac II and when combinded with the axles, QUADRADRIVE. It's impressive. All four tires will spin... IT does have some of the characteristics of the original, when turning it binds up a bit. :) However, technology is a wonderful thing and this Jeep gets 19.6 mpg on the highway, but only 13 to 16 in town... :) So the terms Command Trac, Selectrac and Quadratrac are just the way Jeep refers to part time/partial full time and full time 4x4 modes, there is nothing "sacred" about the word Quadratrac and it doesn't refer exclusively to the old Borg Warner system. :) later, john On 25 Feb 2002 FSJ-List-at-yahoogroups.com wrote: >--> 2.
