I sell pool cues and Billiards equipment, and play here in the leagues ( BCA, and APA) as well, where can you go to play over there, where they got good tables, and decent players? I make it a thing to play every town I come across, no matter how small, or the game.. hehehe.. thanks! R.J. Hari Rajagopal wrote: > Nope, no brewpubs , but some decent beer on tap. Too bad you're so far away. I have a core motor that's only good for parts (it inhaled a piece of intake manifold in an accident but still ran even though #6 cylinder wall was punched through and water got in the oil.) There is XJ-at-yahoogroups.com as well, but it's too quiet. PNWXJ-at-yahoogroups.com is pretty busy, but localized. From: Jeremiah Westpfahl Subject: fsj: Going Away Well it's been fun, but I'm intending to sell my 88Grand Wag & move on... to an XJ-List as soon as I dig it up. Couldn't pass up an 89 Cherokee Larado w/ a knocking 4.0, so the GW needs to go & fund getting the XJ running. If anyone happens to be looking for a pretty decent Grand Wag, email me & I'll send off some pics & details. Also if anyone knows where I can sign up for a good XJ-List, please pass the link along. Looking for something general, about like this List or the AMC-List. I'm not into hardcore 4x4 & offroading. I hear there are 2 more "systems" blowing in, but I haven't seen the Weatherchannel yet to confirm. What brand and filter number are yours? (I have seen a few w/o threads come across our parts desk) I forget what year it was ('87?) that the rears all became D44, but the Model 20 seems to have larger tubes than the '76 J10 My son is messing with. The fronts have been D44 since '70 ish. Just the drop changed (RH to LH in '80) From: Dan Black Subject: Re: fsj: *WHEW!* (lost oil filter, + gears) Carnuck-at-webtv.net (James Blair) said: {- A: I had that happen in a Ford pickup. If you find the old one, see if {- it looks burst open. It may have had a spec of something jam the check {- valve closed, which would pop the filter off in a flash. Interesting. Didn't find it, but the mechanic (and owner) at the shop I took it to says he's seen some oil filters in the past that were machined wrong and even though the felt tight putting them on, the threads didn't really hold well, so they'd rattle off quickly. He said they even had one specific line (that they were using) recalled once for just that, though sounded like it was several years ago. So that's another possibility. It's also still very possible that I simply didn't get it as tight as I thought, and it took a day (and probably some temperature changes from driving a few times) to loosen it enough to come off. If I had done something blatantly stupid, I'd be kicking myself, but I really didn't - - -- this wasn't some dumb error or a newbie thing, it just happened, I guess. So I'll make sure I get it a little bit snugger in the future to be safe (even if it means making it harder to get off -- at least we have an easy angle at it on the FSJs) and chalk the rest up to chance. (Oh, and since I bought two other identical filters at the same time, in case it _was_ a problem with the manufacture of that line for a time, I'm going to be really careful and watchful when I install the other two. Or if the second one goes out, I'll notify the company and have a third to show them.) BTW, last night and this morning, it did seem to run fine -- good pressure, no ticking, etc. {- I'm also finding out how much it will cost to get 3.31 gears (or {- something in that range) put in -- I have the 2.72s now. I may well try {- to get that done before Ouray. {- As for gears, just look for '80 - '83 Cherokee or Wagoneers, or {- '84-'91 Grand Wagoneers. It more likely would have 3.31 gears in the V8 {- ones. 'k. From what someone said a few weeks back, it sounded like the 3.31s were an option on I think the '84ish-up, while 2.72 was standard. So I don't know how easy/hard it will be to find one with the axles I want. But it also sounds like it will be easier and cheaper to just find good used axles like I want than to replace the gears in my existing ones.
