I have a canopy for my Stepside in Pennsylvannia... anyone heading west that might be able to relay it to the West Coast? Or at the least Ouray in August? (I'll have a tool box and roll up bed cover in place but can probably remove them and put the canopy on...) http://www.wagoneers.com/tmp/j10-tmp/j10-1_.jpg http://www.wagoneers.com/tmp/j10-tmp/ etc.... Bill is in Pennsylvannia and just bought this very nice J10 Stepside but doesn't want the canopy. Canopies are very handy here in the Pacific Northwest... :) It doesn't rain that much here... only from about September until July... Anyway, let me and Bill know if you can move this thing... it's smaller then a standard canopy but not something you're going to tie to the top of your Wagoneer... :) john meister snohomish, washington >From: MBC314-at-aol.com >Date: Sat, 29 Jun 2002 10:36:22 EDT >...maybe by chance, someone in the 4x4 group you belong to might be coming >through or nearby to me and could pick the cap up for you if they'd be >driving a truck? Got all the exhaust manifold studs to spin out without breaking! Waa Hoo! :) My replacement timing cover had a water pump bolt broken off in it. Ended up breaking an easy out in it trying to get it out. It was glued in pretty good. Finally drilled it on the drill press and tapped it out again. Word to the wise......don't get gasket goop on the bolt threads when putting on your water pump! How much of the vacuum line mess do I really need? There are so many friggin vacuum lines that all seem to go nowhere........not sure if my Edelbrock carb has as many nipples as the Motorcrap carb. What if I delete the gas vapor cannister? Also, how important is that flippy exhaust butterfly valve on the starboard pipe? Can I cut out the butterfly without hurting something or should I replace it with a new one? The engine is painted silver now. Should I go with AMC colors? Current color sort of matches the Edelbrock parts but blue would really set off my chrome valve covers and air cleaner cover! - -Vince '81 Wagoneer ------------------------------ End of fsj-digest V1 #1676 **************************
