Just rewired the Jeep and trailer... dug out some parts from the weeds... grabbed a few Tonkas, grabbing the FSJ stickers... cleaning out the jeep... it's dark outside, leaving, Sunday Morning... :) Let's see if I can get all these parts in the WJ... :) Decided it would be a good idea to wash them first since I saw some REALLY BIG SPIDERS... I can just see the wife trying to jump out of the Jeep on the Interstate... :) I'll check email in the morning before heading out, probably... :) john - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 11 Aug 2002 00:51:47 -0700 From: john Subject: fsj: Ouray here we come... :) Shutting down for the night. Jeep is clean, packed with parts. See y'all in Ouray. Will log in tomorrow night... not sure where that'll be. Boise? Twin Falls? Salt Lake City??? Shoot, at the rate I'm moving it might be Ellensburg, rofl... Towing the trailer to Salt Lake City to pick up a TH400/QT, rear axle, etc. Will leave it there and pick it up after Ouray. Will be in SLC Mon-Wed for a computer class, then head back north Thur/Fri. john - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 11 Aug 2002 17:00:50 -0500 From: "R.J. Wire whip does not need swr tuned.. but make sure you have at least 30 ft of coaxal, which will keep your SWR down, to 1.5.. which is considerd perfect.. lower the better.. evry time you key up, it should be a low number.. if it's higher, don't key up for too long , you will fry your crystals.. I don't even know where to go from here. Any help would be welcome!! On the road to Ouray Hello List members, It would appear that we have our first casualty on the road to Ouray. A few minutes ago I recieved a call from John Meister (Who is in NorthEastern Oregon heading east.) looking for assistance for another fellow list member (Who should be around the 288 mile marker.) at a rest area. Paul appears to have had a transfer case failure in his GW. He is now in need of a NP229 (Or suitable direct replacement) transfer case. If any of you happen to have one of these handy or available Near Boise ID or NE Oregon please e-mail me off list and I will give you John's cell phone number. He hopes to be in Boise for the night in about 2 hours or so. Maybe together we can get Paul back on the road again.
