I assume only one, the superior 3/4 ton, 14bolt exists LOL. Yeah, the 1/2ton IS weaker than a 44. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Mar 2003 20:37:37 -0800 From: "Jim B" Subject: Re: fsj: Re: tailgate... A: I was going to build some new Jtruck tailgates, but I bought a good one from the other list. Only other gates I have are a bottom rusted '76 Cherokee (with power window) and a perfect '90 Cherokee hatch (with Southpark Elementary on the heated window, under the rear wiper) that I am selling for $100. From: john Subject: fsj: Re: tailgate... Dick, darnold-at-aaahawk.com My tailgate is bent, won't work... anyone else have one up in the Seattle area? :) Jim? thanx, john ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 10 Mar 2003 22:14:00 -0700 From: "Tacoma White" Subject: fsj: tailgate problems on our beasts I am getting irritated w/rear window. Of course! And, I'm also working on a new rear window dealie, a 2pc setup like other sensible designs heheh. Of course, if I come up with a workable solution I"ll get the information to the rest of the list.... but in the meantime... anyone have a good way to fix these things? It seems that the motors wear out, so is there a feasible way to replace them or rig up a fitting for a new, available type? I have done NO research, so forgive me if this is rehash hehhe keep the rubber side down, Tacoma ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Mar 2003 00:56:33 -0800 From: john Subject: fsj: alarm system... I pulled the alarm system out of my '85 190D.... I figured it's not much of a theft candidate, no matter how high fuel prices might go... ;) A bicycle might be a faster get away vehicle... ;) Anyway, it's a Code-Alarm CA1500. It was working fine, has the key fob, siren and main unit... I'm not going to pull the trunk and hood switches... Any one interested in it? let me know at john-at-wagoneers.com Think it'd sell on ebay??? thanx, john - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... jesus, don't leave life without him, please! - ------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Mar 2003 07:51:36 -0700 From: Tesar Landon-r16884 Subject: fsj: Diesel? Finally got my '85 190D put back together... Looks like even a 4.0L is a "gas guzzler" at these prices... ;) john ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 11 Mar 2003 12:42:50 -0800 From: "Faith Jeff" Subject: fsj: officially stupid - added 67 J2000 hi everybody- i'm officially stupid for fsj's. i just picked up a 67 j2000, a kaiser. it runs and drives, but needs work and has no starter. it drove 60 miles on socal freeways to make it home saturday. only event was the hood flying up in my face...i guess it wasn't latched all the way. that was fun yeah. i almost crapped myself at 60 miles an hour. it has a loud 327 and three on the tree, and needs brake bleeding. that's all i know so far... it's the next project / around-towner kind of thing. more to come on it. later, jeff so-cal 63 willys wagoneer 90 gw 67 j2000! Not easily, unless there is an adapter available. Being as they came with TH-400's, I'd be surprised if such an adapter existed. Do I even want to know why you want a 727 over the TH400?
