The '87 xj has 243,000 miles on the original driveline... the '85 190d has about 215,000 miles... (need to get my mileage badge for it. ;) later, john - ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://www.WAGONEERS.com/ Snohomish, WA - where Jeeps don't rust, they mold... Six years ago, when the springs were new, the Wag rode level with a full load of six people, camping equipment (piled on the roof), and 50 gallongs of fuel. Time and the addition of an excessively heavy "universal" class III hitch have taken their toll. I need to give the rear springs some help to bring everything back to level even with no load other than the full rear fuel tank. I figure the options are Rancho's add-a-leafs, Hellwig adjustable helper springs, or adding in an extra main leaf from the old original spring packs. I figure the Rancho's might ride a little harsh, might put extra stress on the main leaf, and might not solve the problem. The helper springs would definitely solve the problem but would probably make the ride terrible. Seems like adding in an old main leaf is the best answer, but I wonder whether the #2 leaf should be left in or not.
