Nightstalker has to go! I've had her for almost twenty years. She has been a California Jeep sense 1984, before that I don't know. I bought her from a dealer. We call her Nightstalker because I once had her painted flat black and set up for night varmint hunting. I have two Jeeps two Corn binders and an Acura. I am in the process of buying a new diesel pickup (have you checked the price of gas lately?), and something has to go. The engine (Jeep 345) runs good. The AC runs COLD. You have to recharge it about every year and a half. The axels are fine. The tires are in great shape with probably more than half the wear left in them. It has an oil cooler. It has a receiver hitch but I never really towed anything with it. The front seat is pretty bad but I have buckets for it that are fairly good. The tint is bubbling on a couple of the windows. The front bumper is in the cargo area waiting to be put back on. The left front finder is crunched but they are not hard to come by. The TH400 trans leaks like a sieve, I think it's cracked, However, I have another one sitting on the bench ready to go in. It will go down the road but I would not try to go far without a case of tranny fluid in the back. The spare tranny was doing just fine when Anthony rolled "Jeepers AJ", it comes with the deal. The transfer case from the rolled Cherokee Chief also is included, in fact the whole thing goes with it, what's left that is. It includes an electric rear window and tailgate. I have a bunch of Jeep parts that come with the deal, but in the interest of band width, email me for more of stuff, and with any questions. I want $700 for the whole works but if you don't want it all I'll adjust. Sorry, the spare TH400 goes with Nightstalker. If none of you are interested I will put it up on eBay. Hope that new motor purrs for you all the way home. I took mine in to a transmission shop. It starts leaking about 2 days after I drive it and makes a mess, used to be I could go for almost a week. Maybe that nasty front seal, we'll see. It's the first time I've taken it anywhere in the 3+ years I've owned it. OK, I had the AC checked, and tires mounted. What ignition setup are you using? - - Landon ====================== break-in has officially started. waaahhooo, jeff so-cal ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 21 Aug 2003 11:28:18 -0600 From: "Stephen D. They are always being sold. Or look at your used sports goods store. You can get new ones at REI and other sports stores, but you pay a lot. I have Yakima racks on mine with 1A towers (the part that connects the rack to the gutters). Works great. I also have a complete stock rack off an 87 Waggie in really nice shape if anyone wants to make me an offer. Steve - -- Steve Thompson P.O. If you MUST have a V8, I'd recommend the 4.7L V8 out of the WJ from '99 and up, and also in some of the dodges... sweet motor. The other option is to build a stroker out of a 4.0L. with only 145k on your 4.0L what are you worried about anyway? my '87 has 245,000 miles on the original engine/trans... I've owned three (or four) other XJs with the 4.0L that has 210, 280, and 230+K on them... Putting a V8 into an XJ can be done, one of the guys on the XJ list put a 350 Chev into his, sweet install too. I might have pix on my server under http://wagoneers.com/XJ/rigs look for Whit or something like that... I'll dig up the pix if they're not there and put 'em up one of these days. :) john On Thu, 21 Aug 2003, Ryan Shaw wrote: Ryan Shaw >-->Hi my name is Ryan >--> >--> I have been doing some research trying to find out if I can put a grand >-->cherokee 5.9 engine into a 90 cherokee?
