I had plans to go to Moab this weekend but as I was pulling the 401 out last night to replace it with the 360 I "remembered" that the 401 flywheel is weighted differently than the 360. Anyone know where I can get an AMC 360 flywheel ASAP (as in by Friday) so I can still make a trip to Moab? Scott, Go to http://www.4wd.com part #3212655 $142.95 for a standard shift factory replacement. They sell billet flywheels and they have the flex plates also if you have an auto tranny, and they are in OH. Also has two Steelhorse seats and console that someone may want. The vehicle is drivable but the frame is tweaked pretty good. Would sell the whole thing for $2,000 to the first lucky guy who wants it. Clear title. Didn't pass Illinois emissions but I only tested it once and haven't had the time to play with the engine. Spare 360 (good), 727 tranny (bad but rebuildable), and spare NP219 transfer case with factory manual and other extras....like a new windshield. May have to move soon. - --Vince - ----- Original Message ----- From: "john meister" Subject: fsj: Re: used AMC 360 > a used engine would run $250 to $500 and R&R about a grand. > I've heard of "new" rebuild engines at mcparts/napa for a grand to $1300 > or so... > > posting to the list to see what they say... > > john > > Tim Allen wrote: > > > Any advise on buying a used AMC-360.
