TH400 is still working good, but it's been run low on fluid several times. QT is still good, but needs a chain. Driveshafts are okay. Rad, steering (mostly), axles (except the welded carrier in the rear), tires and rims, replacement doors and tailgate, factory SOA front axle from the Chev Blazer I parted, rear D44 with 3.73 from my J4000 is good (5 lug with 1 piece axles), frame seems fine, gas tank and skid plate are good, I may swap hoods (the one on the J4000 got a little dented today when a dumptruck unloaded on me at a traffic light and the goober behind me wouldn't back up! I'd have shoved him back, but that would jack MY insurance! I can't recall ever seeing a dumpbox go up so fast before!) Windshield has a small crack in it, but it's legal. The 1/4 panels off the '83 will take care of most of the rust and dents in the back. What else is there? From: john Subject: fsj: Re: '79 Golden Eagle $300 perhaps a better question is what's salvageable on it? but remember that it was rough and rusted when we got it... the only reason it wasn't a big deal that mark took a sawzall to it was that there wasn't a straight piece of metal on it to start with... johnGet more from the Web. I've used VW, Volvo, Nissan, Ford and a variety of other seats... I bought a set of '99 WJ heated leather seats with the power lumbar for my J10... they were a bit more then $400 though... $1000 Canadian, which worked out to about $750US at the time... john At 08:40 PM 10/27/2003, Obi-Wan wrote: >Hey John, > > >> From: Obi-Wan > >> Subject: More bucket seat talk > >> To: fsj-list-at-yahoogroups.com > >> Date: Mon, 27 Oct 2003 13:59:06 -0800 > >> > >> Has anybody ever tried to put cushy leather/power/heated seats from > >> a Grand Cherokee (either '93-98 ZJ or '99-93 WJ) into a '70's FSJ? > >> Those things are _extremely_ comfortable, and I'm starting to think > >> $300-400 isn't such a bad price for that kind of comfort. I've used Dodge (oh my ... what am I saying????? ;) van seat bases before... rofl... the trick is to find seats that have flat bottoms, then mount them to an FSJ base. 2x4's and long bolts aren't recommended... ;) john Jim Blair wrote: >A: I put the seats from my parts AMC Eagle in (they were slightly offset base, >so I suggest a different AMC car!
