I would like some feedback on what wires, plugs, etc I should use. I have a 360 v8 with all the emission stuff removed except the catlytic converter (thats next). The advice I have gotten off of this list has been priceless as far as time and money I have saved keeping my baby on the road. Thanks, Charles '88 GW "Raindog" __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Find out what made the Top Yahoo! (He never tried it after hearing the noise) I'd like to find someone close to Seattle to swap for the earlier version (aka Unipattern or Buick Nailhead. A core trans is fine as long as it's rebuildable) I don't need the adapter they come with, so it can be off the Buick or AMC motor. I already got a flexplate for this conversion and don't want to buy yet another or spend money having the other one I have rebalanced to work. If someone has a GM TH400 output shaft and tailstock sleeve for TH400/NP208 combo, I'm looking for that as well. I'm also looking for a '93 up XJ12 auto trans (4L80E) to see if it uses the same 2" thick adapter ring they used to put on the Unipattern TH400. If so, then a cheaper upgrade for HD O/D for the '79 and older crowd may be available! (external controllers are available as Hotrodders use them too) I wouldn't mind going the AW4 trans route, but no-one seems to have a 23 spline one for reasonable price. (I'm also looking for a AX-15 23 spline for my Commanche to bolt to a NP208J) Someone asked me how many projects I have on the go! Soon a list of my for sale or trade stuff will be posted. My name is Mark and I live in Tennessee near Knoxville. I've recently acquired a Wagoneer although I'm not sure of the year. Since it has the Buick 350 I surmise that makes it a '69 or '70 and being an automatic tranny I assume that's a TH400? At any rate, it runs pretty good and has a pretty straight body other than a little rust here and there. I'd appreciate any history, specific identification, parts sourcing, and technical information you may be able to share. At present I'm most in need of some advice concerning getting the heater and rear glass operational. The heater core is available and reasonably priced from a local parts house so that's good. One thing that concerns me though is that although the blower appears to be functional the switch has been bypassed and it's wired through an auxiliary toggle switch. Another difficulty is that the rear glass will power up but not >--> down. The motor will jerk when you turn the switch to down and I'm not sure if this means the motor is bad or not? That motor is apparently going to be hard to find if bad unless you have some ideas but I'd be happy with a hand crank unit if those are interchangeable. Lastly but most annoying and potentially dangerous is the rubber fuel fill hose from the cap to the tank is rotten and leaky. Are you possibly aware of a source for those or is there a viable alternative to the OEM part? This will get me going for winter camping but I'll eventually be in the market for a few body and interior parts to spiff this rig up if you have any suggestions for those as well. By the way, a little off subject but I lived in Poulsbo WA from '88-'92 while I was stationed at Bangor Sub Base. Last April was my first chance to make a return visit and I really enjoyed it. I know where of you speak about the mold and my '72 Bronco and '84 CJ-7 felt your pain while we were there but I seriously do still >--> miss your part of the country. I've also been a diesel nut for 20+ years although for me it's been the VW variety. Currently I have a 99.5 Jetta TDI which I love but my 82 Rabbit Diesel P/U (aka Caddy) will always remain :) I'd better run for now and sorry for being so long winded, god bless and take care.
