I hope to have some of my uncle's pics of offroading with his Nissan Patrol (between the Mission and Kota Kinabalu) I recall the mud being up to the tops of the fenders. John, When I was in Tanzania, East Africa, the Toyota Hilux Diesel engine was quite popular. I even ended up buying a used Toyota Cresta from Japan, with the Hilux Diesel engine. It was one of the nicest cars I've ever owned, besides my 85 Mercedes 190D, of course. There were many double cab mini pickups that had the hilux diesel in them, and I only heard great things from the owners. The only issue here would be getting parts. I don't know if this is the same engine that would mate with the transmission mentioned below? I have changed the starter, soleniod, etc....and nothing happens at all when I try to start the Jeep. I did hear a little rattling in the solenoid, but I changed that - and now - nothing! Any thoughts?? Thanks, John Pettit 87' Grand Wagoneer ------------------------------ End of fsj-digest V1 #2159 **************************
